IPL is back in action already from the yesterdays opening ceremony. I hope you all enjoyed the opening ceremony. Now today we'll see IPL matches begin officially from 8 pm Indian time. Its just a matter of 5 hours approx.
The first match will be played between the defending champions KKR and the Delhi Daredevils team. For KKR is has been up and down journey before they win the title last edition of the IPL. However the Delhi team has been consistent making it to playoffs and higher stages of the IPL. For the Delhi Daredevils team its tough time they have already two top players not playing for them this season due to injuries. Kevin Peterson and J. Ryder both will not be able to play this season for the Delhi team. To make it worse The star opener Virender Sehwag will not play the opening match of the tournament. The New captain Mahela Jayawardene would surely have to get best of the limited option he is left with the team.
Same is the case for the Knight Riders team. Brendon McCullum has notjoined the team yet, Pattison has opted out to prepare for Ashes. Jacques Kallis and the captain Gautam Gambhir just recovered from injuri and illness. However the KKR team do have the confidence on being the defending champions and the team looks stronger than the Delhi team on paper at least.
But this is IPL and be prepared to watch many setbacks.
