Champions League Twenty Twenty semi final match today

Today first semi final of the CLT20 would be played between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. You can watch the live scoreboard to the match in the scoreboards widget at this blog. Rajasthan Royals team has been undefeated in the Champions League T20 so far and above of this they have won 12 consecutive matches at the venue (Jaipur).

Chennai Super Kings on the other hand lost their previous match to the T&T team. Now CSK needs the magic touch of the captain MS Dhoni to see if they the 13th match at the same venue for the Royals would prove luck to them or not.

Though the batting line of CSK is great their bowling is a major concern and they needs to improve in this area to win the match. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand have a good batting and bowling combination though the batting seems little weaker when compared to CSK.

Toss can play a good role here and team chasing might have some advantage.

My favorites here for this match are Rajasthan Royals as I want them to win and face Mumbai Indians in the final of Champion League so that we can see two legends who are retiring from the T20 format bat for the last time.

Hopefully this will happen.

World Cup Semi Final - India vs Pakistan Scoreboard

Let me tell you some strange statistics about the big match today. India has never been defeated by Pakistan in a wold cup match so far in the history but at the same time Pakistan has been never defeated by India at PCA stadium Mohali in a one day match. Thus all the stats goes nil, any on the team can win todays match. Chandigarh, Mohali and Panckula the tri-city region near the Mohali stadium has been packed with the cricket lovers, all the hotels in the region are fully reserved from last week and city is under tight secutiry for this match.

The team who will win today will play against Sri Lanka in the final of the 2011 cricket world cup. Please note that all the three Asian teams India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have appeared in world cup finals twice each and have one once and defeated once. Interestingly the second time all the three teams were defeated by Australia.

But this time one of the tree team will have the joy of winning the world cup twice and also equaling the record of two world cup wins by West Indies.

Latest News is that India have won the toss and started well, despite loosing Virendar Sehwag early. Though Sehwag got out on the score of 38 he provided a quick start India score is 68 for 1 in 9 overs.

ICC Cricket World Cup Semi Final Match Live

Just one hour more and the first semi final match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will beplayed between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Sri Lanka is the one time world cup winner long back in 1996 whereas New Zealand is yet to win the title. This time New Zealand team looks quiet balanced side under the captain ship of Daniel Vettori, thus New Zealand team might not be willingly to loost this golden opportunity to play in the finals after winning this battle against Sri Lanka.

Please note that New Zealand is the only non-Asian team to enter the semi finals thus it would be intersting to see if the final of the cricket world cup will be played between two Asian team or one asian team play against New Zealand in the finals.
