Virtual Quarter Final for Pakistan & West Indies Today in ICC World T20

In the ICC world T20 world cup 2014, today Pakistan and West Indies will play the last match of the group stage. For both the teams this is a must win match as the victory here would take the winning team to the semi-finals stage of the tournament. This makes the T20 match today a quarter final match for both the teams.

Interestingly this is first time that Pakistan and West Indies will face each other in a T20 world cup. Both the team have a good spin attack and equally good batting line.

Another group stage match will feature Australia and Bangladesh. Both the teams have lost all the three matches they have played so far and this is the last chance to quit the tournament with a win.

• SL beat NZ in a virtual quarter final - Just like the match today between Pak and WI, the yesterday match for Sri Lanka and New Zealand was a quarter final. Sri Lanka team won the match and proceed to the semi finals stage along with South Africa and India. It was a low scoring match and initially it seemed Sri Lanka might lose the match but a powerful spell from Herath, combined with an injury and two run outs cost the match for New Zealand team.
• Netherland beat England: This was one of the match that got minimum crowd. And to surprise all Netherland won the match. 

ICC World T20 semi final 1 - The first semi final of the tournament will be played between Sri Lanka and the winner of the match today (Pak Vs WI). In case the match between both the teams is washed out West Indies will qualify based on better net run rate. Match will be played on 3-April-2014 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur

ICC World T20 semi final2 - The second semi final will be played between India and South Africa. India is so far the only undefeated team in the tournament. However South Africa team has a very aggressive pace attack lead by Dale Steyn.  Though South Africa has never won any major international event, I'm getting the feel that South Africa team may feature in the T20 world cup final on April 6. In case this happens it could be first world cup final for South Africa.

T20 World Cup Matches Today - ICC T20 Match Updates

What a opening match for super 10 stage of ICC World T20 is was yesterday between India & Pakistan. Cricket match between these two teams being played at any corner of the globes attracts larger crowds compared to any other match. And a T20 world cup adds extra excitement to the match. India won the match yesterday be first restricting Pakistan to a score of 130 and then chasing he score successfully and easily.

First Match - England vs New Zealand - Both these teams play a similar kind of cricket, so this could be another exciting match in the T20 world cup 2014. Recently the New Zealand team has some good series against India at home but here in Balgladesh the playing conditions are different so this could be a hard match to NZ and same applies to the English team as well. Positives for New Zealand team - they have the leading run scorer in T20s with them, Brendon McCullumis already 600+ runs ahead of the second highest run getter in the shorter format of the game.

Second Match - Sri Lanka Vs South Africa - This could be a Malinga vs Steyn in case both the players are fit for the match today. Both the teams are strong in all the depts like bowling, batting and fielding. However these two team despite performing well haven't won any bing international tournament from a long time. While South African team have never gone ahead the knok our stage, they lost all the knock out matches from last 15 years or so. Sri Lankan team though have made to the finals of bigget tournaments quite often but they lost the finals every time.

Champions League Twenty Twenty semi final match today

Today first semi final of the CLT20 would be played between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. You can watch the live scoreboard to the match in the scoreboards widget at this blog. Rajasthan Royals team has been undefeated in the Champions League T20 so far and above of this they have won 12 consecutive matches at the venue (Jaipur).

Chennai Super Kings on the other hand lost their previous match to the T&T team. Now CSK needs the magic touch of the captain MS Dhoni to see if they the 13th match at the same venue for the Royals would prove luck to them or not.

Though the batting line of CSK is great their bowling is a major concern and they needs to improve in this area to win the match. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand have a good batting and bowling combination though the batting seems little weaker when compared to CSK.

Toss can play a good role here and team chasing might have some advantage.

My favorites here for this match are Rajasthan Royals as I want them to win and face Mumbai Indians in the final of Champion League so that we can see two legends who are retiring from the T20 format bat for the last time.

India Vs Pakistan T20 Match Today Live Score

First of all a very Merry Christmas to all the cricket fans across the world. For the last 48 hours topic of discussion among cricket fan was retirement of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar however from now onward it'll be the most exciting match in world. Indian bowling be it fast or spin is lacking the experience and the kill they have in the past. If we take a look at the bowling of the T20 series against England then Yuvraj Singh is the only successful bowler from Indian side. Batting for India is still solid as ever Raina, Kohli and Dhoni are in the T20 form and hopefully they can win the match for India. Lets wait and watch the live match from 7 pm on-wards today. India South Africa match Today - Live Updates

South Africa is out of the ICC Twenty 20 world cup tournament and they only can play now to leave the tournament with a victory. With that said chances for qualification for India has been become very difficult, not only India need to win this match but they need to make sure that match is won by the margin of 31 runs or more. Only then Indian cricket team will have net run rate greater than that of Pakistan. 

Match is being played and so far its a bad start for team India they have lost the top three batsmen withou making any significant contribution to the scoreboard or giving a fast start. India is 38/3 after 6.3 overs. I believe that India can only qualify if they make a score of 180 plus which so far looks a rare dream to achieve. But may be today is the day the storng Indian batting like can show the prowess.

Let keep finger crossed and wait for  whats their on the cards for both teams today.

Pakistan Take South Africa in a Must win match

Pakistan Take South Africa in a Must win match today. Instead this is a must win match for both the team because a victory here would make life little bit easier for the reaming Super Eight matches for both the team as both team will play against strong India and Australia later.

One thing everybody would love about the super eight matches in ICC Twenty Twenty world cup is that the super eights had made the tournament go live wire. Two matches were played yesterday and we saw T20 cricket magic at its peak. Match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand was decided by a super over and Sri Lanka emerged as the winners here.  Second match between West Indies and England was also a close encounter. Though England has lost the match, the way England batsmen chased the score this might have given some tension to the management of Sri Lanka and New Zealand teams.

Let focus on the first match to be played between South Africa and Pakistan. I believe this will be the first tough match for the strong Pakistan team, that have a easy going in T20 world cup so far. Given that they have Australia and India to face later, Pakistan team might need to win this match at any cost. So far the batting of Pakistan team has been consistent and openers have given quick starts to the team, however this time they will face the likes of Dale Steyn and Morkel who are very lethal with the ball in T20 format.
