Bangladesh v New Zealand Second test Match Live

The first day of second test match between Bangladesh and New Zealand got an exciting start with Bangladesh batsmen maintaining a health run-rate of above 4 runs an over. New Zealand team was also able to pick 5 wickets, 2 of those just came shortly before the tea break. It seemed like the days play would end with another exciting session that would decide if the day one was in favor of Bangladesh or the visitors. However it rained at tea break and the no playing was possible after that. I hope you'd got the chance to see the live score board of the match in case it was a working day for you, else nothing would have stopped a test match fan to watch the test match live on TV.

Thus rain ruined an exciting last session of test match today. Highlight of the day was 95 runs from Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal. Tomorrow match will start half an hour early to make up for the time lost today due to rain. We hope it won't rain tomorrow and we'd got to see an exciting day of test match cricket.

Cricket Updates - News from the world of cricket this week

Hope you all are enjoying the cricket going around various parts of the globe. There are less times when there are multiple bilateral series are being played. Since now its less than 1 and half year left for the ICC world cup 2015 to start, most of the teams want to settle into a nice combination thus series are being planned and played accordingly. Currently there are lots of Test and ODI series being played like:

• India Vs Australia ODI series: Aussie team is on the tour of India to play one T20 mach and 6 one day international cricket matches. Australian team lost the only T20 match despite scoring a 200 plus score in 20 over. But they make a great comeback in ODI and won the first match and now lead the ODI series 1-0. The second match of the series will be played tomorrow at  Jaipur. Match starts from 1:30 pm IST and you can watch the live scoreboards of the match in the live scoreboard at this blog. 
•  Pakistan Vs South Africa: The both teams are playing the series at Abu Dhabi, the neutral venue. Both team will play 2 test matches, 5 ODI matches and 2 twenty twenty matches. The first test between the two team is already being played and today is the second day of play for the match.
• Bangladesh v New Zealand: New Zealand team tour of Bangladesh. NZ to play 2 tests, 3 ODI and 1 T20 match. The first test match between both the team ended in a draw. For the remaining matched and live scoreboards, stay tuned at this blog. Second test starts from 29th October.

• ICC to start test championship where top 4 ranked test playing nations will compete against each other for the title. 
• Sachin Tendulkar of India announced retirement from test matches (Already retired from ODI and T20s). He will play his last test match at his home ground in Mumbai. 
• Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka announced retirement from test matches to make way for youngsters. Dilshan will however continue to play ODI and if he is fit and in form he might represent his country in the  ICC 2015 world cup. 
•  Cheteshwar Pujara of India achieved the feat of scoring  three first-class triple-centuries. He is the second Indian to do so after Ravinder Jadeja and ninth overall in the world. 
• Yuvraj Singh of India made a comeback to professional cricket and is playing in the current series against Australia.

Australia tour of India - T20 match between India Australia

Cricket Australia teams' tour in India starts with the first and only T20 to be played on 10-October at Rajkot. The match will begin at around 7:30 pm IST. After the T20 match the Australian team is to play 7 ODI matches against India.

This time the visiting Australian team is relatively inexperienced and you can take a hint about young blood in the team from the fact that there are only two players in the visiting Australian who have played more than 100 one matches.

However since most the Australian team players were part of IPL and therecently concluded Champions League Twenty Twenty, Indian cricket team would definitely get a hard fight in all the matches. To win a match Indian cricket team must not take this Australian team lightly.

Indian cricket team who has been enjoying the number 1 spot in the ICC cricket rankings might have the chances to loose it in case Australia players do some heroics here.

Best wishes to both the teams for the only T20 match and 7 ODIs that follows later.

Champions League Twenty Twenty semi final match today

Today first semi final of the CLT20 would be played between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. You can watch the live scoreboard to the match in the scoreboards widget at this blog. Rajasthan Royals team has been undefeated in the Champions League T20 so far and above of this they have won 12 consecutive matches at the venue (Jaipur).

Chennai Super Kings on the other hand lost their previous match to the T&T team. Now CSK needs the magic touch of the captain MS Dhoni to see if they the 13th match at the same venue for the Royals would prove luck to them or not.

Though the batting line of CSK is great their bowling is a major concern and they needs to improve in this area to win the match. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand have a good batting and bowling combination though the batting seems little weaker when compared to CSK.

Toss can play a good role here and team chasing might have some advantage.

My favorites here for this match are Rajasthan Royals as I want them to win and face Mumbai Indians in the final of Champion League so that we can see two legends who are retiring from the T20 format bat for the last time.

Hopefully this will happen.
