Can Pakistan defend 149 runs

Pakistan team has scored 149 runs in the given 20 overs. Now they need to stop Australian batsmen to achieve the target of 150, failing to do so means this will be the last match of Pakistan in the ICC T20 world cup 2012. However little hope might be there given that South Africa beat India and then the net run rate comes into the criteria to decide which team qualifies for the semi finals. Even Pakistan may need to win this match significantly by a large margin as there might be a condition where India also wins the match against South Africa and then the team with higher runs rate among India and Pakistan will qualify.

Let wait and watch how the match proceeds but in my opinion the first 6 overs would be sufficient to decide the fate of the twenty twenty match being today between Pakistan and Australia. In the next few minutes Australian innings will starts so just have a quick break and get tuned to the match score once again.

Knock out match for West Indies & Ireland in ICC T20

West Indies and Ireland play an important match today as the winner of the match will proceed to the super eight stage of ICC World T20 tournament and for the other it would be the way for exit. West Indies team was little unlucky to lose the previous match to Australia due to rain.  West Indies team seems to be on the favorites to win the match with the presence of players who have plenty of T20 exposure. West Indies team have players who can win them  matches alone however they need to pick the best bowling combinations and the bowling is little less lethal as compared to batting.

Ireland team on the other team has been playing good cricket at associate levels and they need to give good perfomance to improve the cricket in the nations and the Ireland cricket team is very much focused on the target. A win here for Ireland would the there best performance at an international cricket.

Who they will play in super eights:
Any of the team who wins the Twenty twenty world cup match today will play against the defending champions England on Thursday, 27th September. That match might be of little less pressure to both the team given the heavy defeat of England by the hands on India in the group stage match yesterday.
