Can Pakistan defend 149 runs

Pakistan team has scored 149 runs in the given 20 overs. Now they need to stop Australian batsmen to achieve the target of 150, failing to do so means this will be the last match of Pakistan in the ICC T20 world cup 2012. However little hope might be there given that South Africa beat India and then the net run rate comes into the criteria to decide which team qualifies for the semi finals. Even Pakistan may need to win this match significantly by a large margin as there might be a condition where India also wins the match against South Africa and then the team with higher runs rate among India and Pakistan will qualify.

Let wait and watch how the match proceeds but in my opinion the first 6 overs would be sufficient to decide the fate of the twenty twenty match being today between Pakistan and Australia. 2 matches will be played to decide fate of three teams India, West Indies and Sri Lanka. Both India and West Indies will be playing in one match of the two. For West Indies victory will mean they will move to the next round, however even if India win they match first point os to win with a good margin and second one is that West Indies loose to Australia. Given the form of Australia it looks very rare they will loose to West Indies.

I forget to mention Sri Lanka for them Victory will make it to the semi finals of the T20 world cup however even if they loose but manage to score 144 runs they will knock India out of the tournament.

Indian seamer Parveen Kumar is out of the T20 world cup 2010 due to injury. He got a side strain and will be replaced by Umesh Yadav from Vidarbha Cricket Association and also part of Delhi Deardevils IPL team. Yadav will leave fro West Indies tomorrow.

Aurstralia Vs Bangladesh - Who will move to next round Australia, Bangladesh or Pakistan

Bangladesh made an excellent start in the todays match but lost the hold in last seven matcehs otherwise Australia might have been in trouble. Still Bangladesh can chase the target of 142 I think and in case they manage to do it in less than 19 overs Pakistan would be out of the tournament and in rarest conditions if they chase it in 14 overs Australia woud be out of the tournament.

But I doubt the batting of the Bangladesh team but still hope they can win this match. In another important match Afghanistan will take on South Africa in a do or die match for both the teams.

Sri Lankan team got a major blow when the great spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has been ruled out of the ICC Cricket twenty twenty world cup due to a groin injury. Murali is expected to be fir after three weeks, Sri Lanka board is yet to name the replacement for him. Murali got the injuru during the first match against NewZealand that Sri lost.

India wonthe match again debutant team Afghanistan, well for Afghanistan team I saw some good performance with both with bat and ball. In the batting Noor Ali scored a half century and he looked very confident from the first ball he faced. Also there was fifty runs partnership between Noor and Stanikzai. In bowling Zadran bowled a superb spell giving just 8 runs and took a wicket. Now he might by very happy with such a great bowling figures in his first match that too against worlds number one batting line up.

T20 world cup warm up matches - Pakistan got to winning start

Pakistan got its campaign at the ICC World Twenty20 off to a winning start with a comfortable 68-run win over a Windward Islands X1 on Tuesday.

Mohammad Hafeez starred in Pakistan's total of 160-7 off 20 overs with an entertaining knock of 57 off 40 balls.

In reply the Windward Islands X1 struggled to reach 92-4 off 20 overs in the face of a strong Pakistan attack, who still managed to concede 11 wides.

Mohammad Aamer was arguably the pick of the bowlers with 1-13 off four overs, although wickets were shared around the side.
