India bat first in second T20 Match

Pakistan cricket team won an important toss today and asked Indian cricket team to bat first. I think the Pakistan skipper made an important decision as it'd be tough to bowl later in the night as dew can play an important role that time.

Indian team though had made a slow but steady start for their innings and so far they have scored more than 59 runs in 8 overs losing two wickets of G. Gambhir and A. Rahane. Both the batsmen were tricked by the deliveries of opposition teams fast bowler Umar Gul in two successive overs.

Currently T20 specialist Yuvraj Singh and  Virak Kohli are batting and if they continue to play til lthe 15th over I am sure India would be in a position to score a competitive total as they have more T20 specialist batsmen like Rain and Dhoni to follow.

However if Pakistan can get one or two quick wickets at this stage then they might trigger the collapse of famous Indian batting line as they did in the last match.

Good luck to both the teams, be logged in for more updates from the match and live score updates.

Can Pakistan defend 149 runs

Pakistan team has scored 149 runs in the given 20 overs. Now they need to stop Australian batsmen to achieve the target of 150, failing to do so means this will be the last match of Pakistan in the ICC T20 world cup 2012. However little hope might be there given that South Africa beat India and then the net run rate comes into the criteria to decide which team qualifies for the semi finals. Even Pakistan may need to win this match significantly by a large margin as there might be a condition where India also wins the match against South Africa and then the team with higher runs rate among India and Pakistan will qualify.

Let wait and watch how the match proceeds but in my opinion the first 6 overs would be sufficient to decide the fate of the twenty twenty match being today between Pakistan and Australia. In the next few minutes Australian innings will starts so just have a quick break and get tuned to the match score once again.

India & Pakistan play tough opposition today in ICC T20 world cup

Yesterday in the group stage two important games get spoiled due to rain but fortunately we'd results for both the games. South Africa won the rain hit match against Sri Lanka, the match was shortened to seven overs a side. In the second game which I think was the most interesting game of this T20 world cup far, Australia best West Indies by Duckworth Luis system. In the West Indies innings we saw West Indies post a total of 191runs against strong bowling of Australia. I now understand the difference Chris Gayle makes in a team.

Today India and Pakistan will play their respective matches against England and New Zealand. For India, England and New Zealand these matches are of less importance as both the teams has already qualified for the super eight. However Pakistan is playing their first match of the tournament thus they need to start it off in a winning fashion. We may expect some changes in the playing eleven for India,New Zealand and the defending champions England. However Pakistan team need to pick best eleven in the team and that's what the captain Mohammad Hafeez and coach Dav Whatmore might be thinking about. The match between Pakistan will start at 3:30 pm local time (+5:50 GMT) and though it forecasts about rains I am confident of a full play today.

The second match today between India and England will be played at 7:30 pm local time and this might be another interesting match to watch. England are the defending champions of the twenty twenty world cup while Indians are the winners of the first T20 world cup played.  One thing might be interesting to see is the battle between Stuart Broad and Yuvraj Singh. 5 years back in the history it was Yuvraj Singh who hit the England bowler for 6 consecutive sixes in an over. You can read more about it at this post
Lets wait and watch if something similar happens in the match today or we can see someone taking a ha-trick of wickets. Catch all the live scores and action of the matches in few hours from now. Stay tuned.

ICC World Twenty20 2012 Match Today

Today on the fourth day of the tournament called ICC World Twenty20 2012, two matches will be played. Before I start my overview of the matches to be played today a sad news for the supporters of Zimbabwe cricket team. Zimbabwe team lost their second consecutive match in the tournament, this time to South Africa. This defeat means end of the gates for the super 8 stage of twenty twenty world cup 2012 for the team. Thus Zimbabwe is officially the first team to be knocked out from  ICC World Twenty20 2012 Match.

Another team is on the verge fo exit from the tournament today. Afghanistan plays against the defending champions and current number one team in T20 i.e. England. If Afghanistan looses the match today then this means they;ll exit the tournament. However given the way the Afghan team played against India, I am sure the match against would be very very interesting and not a dull one sided affair like the match played yesterday between South Africa and Zimbabwe. My best wishes to the defending champions and the Afghanistan team.

Second match will be played between Bangladesh and New Zealand. Both the teams have not won any major international tournament and would like to make a solid start in the tournament by winning the match. Bangladesh team might have the home conditions advantage but New Zealand had some enough practice with the recent outing to India and the practice matches. With Pakistan as the other team of the group it'd be important for Bangladesh and New Zealand to win this match.

So stay tuned for all the major updates about  ICC World Twenty20 2012 Matches !

T20 World Cup Match India Vs Afghanistan Today Score

Hi All,

Afghanistan team is playing the ICC world T20 tournament for the second time and coincidentally in both the occasion they will play the opening match with same opponent i.e team India. In the papers Indian cricket team looks solid against the Afghanistan team. But if we look at the stats of last 5 matches both the team looks at the same level. Both India and Afghanistan have lost 3 of the 5 T20 international matches they have played. The only difference is that Indian team is lots more experienced that the Afghan team. The only chance the Afghanistan team has for winning it to take over the weak Indian bowling attack because any target given to the strong Indian batting team would be small unless  2 of the Afghan bowlers can face the pressure of T20 and bowl a spell of their life. but remember this is T20 and a couple of overs can change the course of the game. Let keep ourselves tuned for the all the live action of the match today. Please note that you can see the live scoreboard ticking online.

Please remember that another match will be played  today between Australia and Ireland. So if you area support of any of those team then you can watch this match at 15:30 local time (+5:30 GMT).

Summary of the opening match
What an opening match we'd  at Hambantota, Sri Lanka between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. By the first innings it seemed that match would be an interesting one and Zimbabwe would post some tough times for the favotires Sri Lanka. However the moment one wicket of Zimbabwe fell they all fell like a deck of cards one by one and in the end Sri Lanka won the ICC world T20 opening match by 82 runs.  Target of 183 runs was never in the reach of Zimbabwe team who put on an ordinary performance at the field. Perhaps they have got another chance to show the potential they have in the next match they play. Wishing both Zimbabwe abd Afghanistan team all the best for their matches.

India Vs England T20 match Live

England made it to the number one position in the test cricket by beatihttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifng India 4-0 in the test series. And now a defeated Indian team will face England again on 31-Au-2011 in the only T20 match between the teams. India are the winner of the first twenty twenty world cup and also there is international T20 tournament i.e. IPL T20 is played in India every year. So we can expect Indian cricket team to win this only T20 match and get some respect from the fans.

After that the 5 match ODI series will be played (starting 3 Sept) where England will definitely give a strong competition to the 2011 world cup champions. May be we can see the first ODI series defeat for team India after winning the world cup few months back.

All I expect and pray to gods is that team India didn't get defeated like the test match series.

ICC T20 Final Live Score - Australia Vs England

Now this is going to be a perfect final match for T20 world cup. Both the team have never won or reached the final to twenty twenty world cup and for Australia its a do or die match to win the only tournament in cricket they havent won so far. As far as England is concerned its a very very long time they have reached this stage of any tournament so they won't want to loose this chance.

Thing to worry for England will be the way Australia won the semi final match today. A score of 191 was not enough for Pakistan to defend. And last over 18 runs required for winning it was an unforgetable match. Now what England do in the final to win the match .

Don't miss to watch live score of another interesting semi final match between West Indies women and New Zealand women, yes I am talking about sem final of women T20 world cup 2010.

Twenty Twenty Live - Super Eight Matches today

2 matches will be played to decide fate of three teams India, West Indies and Sri Lanka. Both India and West Indies will be playing in one match of the two. For West Indies victory will mean they will move to the next round, however even if India win they match first point os to win with a good margin and second one is that West Indies loose to Australia. Given the form of Australia it looks very rare they will loose to West Indies.

I forget to mention Sri Lanka for them Victory will make it to the semi finals of the T20 world cup however even if they loose but manage to score 144 runs they will knock India out of the tournament.

India have set a target of 164 but for Sri Lanka 144 will be enough to move to the next round. So what will team India play for a win of restrict Sri Lanks for a score less than 144.

Nothing I think because even doing so much hard work will get in vain if West Indies win the next match so Indian just pack up.

Aurstralia Vs Bangladesh - Who will move to next round Australia, Bangladesh or Pakistan

Bangladesh made an excellent start in the todays match but lost the hold in last seven matcehs otherwise Australia might have been in trouble. Still Bangladesh can chase the target of 142 I think and in case they manage to do it in less than 19 overs Pakistan would be out of the tournament and in rarest conditions if they chase it in 14 overs Australia woud be out of the tournament.

But I doubt the batting of the Bangladesh team but still hope they can win this match. In another important match Afghanistan will take on South Africa in a do or die match for both the teams.

T20 world cup todays match live score

Match number 7 and 8 of the ICC T20 world cup will be played today. You can watch the live score of the both matches at ICC Cricket Live blog. in the match number one Sri Lanka playes against Zimbawe. For Sri Lanks its a must win match to move to the super league stage of the world cup and for Zimbawe its a match to rebuild the reputation they build in internationla cricket. there was atime when Zimbawe got some good key players but all of sudden some political crisis happened and top key players left the game. Hopefully Zimbawe will playe to there pride today.
In the secon match West Indies the host will play agianst England both the teams would like to start the tournament with a win. For host there will be an home ground advantage. Watch for the live action within next few houres.

T20 World Cup Match Today Live Score

Today is the day three of the ICC T20 World cup and two matches will be played. The match umber 5 and 6 of the twenty twenty cup tournament will be played among "India Vs South Africa" and "Pakistan Vs Australia".

Both India and Pakistan have won their first matches of the tournament, whereas Australia and South Africa will play the first match of the world cup T20. Both the two teams have still to prove that they are the best in this format of the cricket.

Pakitstanon the way to defend T20 worl champion title

Well they started the first match as champions, Bangladesh looked no where impressive in the bowling except in the death overs. Pakistan has set a target of 173 runs to win for Bangladesh. Given such a huge score to chase Bangladesh mad a horror start by loosing first wicket at the score of one run. Noe let see how Bangladesh will chase the target.

Tomorrows matches:

Group C: India v South Africa at Gros Islet - India has won the first match and seems they are now eligible for the next round however if they won the tomorrows match it will give me the confidence that team India has the potential to win the T20 world cup once again.

Australia v Pakistan at Gros Islet - Pakistan will take on Australia in the sixth match of the tournament - Now here Australia need to win this match and make a solid start. Aussies are yet to prove there worth in this format of the game.

T20 World Cup Match - Pakistan Vs Bangladesh

India wonthe match again debutant team Afghanistan, well for Afghanistan team I saw some good performance with both with bat and ball. In the batting Noor Ali scored a half century and he looked very confident from the first ball he faced. Also there was fifty runs partnership between Noor and Stanikzai. In bowling Zadran bowled a superb spell giving just 8 runs and took a wicket. Now he might by very happy with such a great bowling figures in his first match that too against worlds number one batting line up.

Second match of the day will begin in new few minutes between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the same ground. Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat first.

Now see will they be able to post a high scre or this one will also be a low scroing match as previous three encounters.

Live India Vs Afghanistan Twenty Twenty Match - T20 World Cup

New Zealand and West Indies made a winning start to the tournament, for New zealand it was a heard fight whic they somehow managed to win in the end with one ball to spare. For West Indies it was a easy win hopefully this win will boost there hopes and home advantage is the next big thing for the carribean team.

Below are the final scores of both T20 world cup matches:

New Zealand 139 for 8 (Ryder 42, Murali 2-25) beat Sri Lanka 135 for 6 (Jayawardene 81) by two wickets

West Indies 138 for 9 (Sammy 30, Dockrell 3-16) beat Ireland 68 (Sammy 3-8, Rampaul 3-17) by 70 runs

Today the third match of the tournament will be played between the winners of the First T20 world cup in 2007 and the debutants Afghanistan. Afghanistan team will be playing to mark up there place in world of cricket and in case they manage to cause a setback it would be good for a country whic in already in trouble for various reasons.

I personaly wish Afghanistan makes it to next round of the tournament atleast, a new coutry needs such thing to boos cricket there. Wheather they win or not is a secondary thing Afghanistan team should play to give a real fight to the Indian team. Match should not be a single sided match.

Catch up the live action within few hours.

Another match will be played today between the defending champions Pakistan and Bangladesh.

ICC T20 Match updates - Live Scores

First match of the ICC twenty twenty world cup is goind to a clost encounter. New Zealand managed to restric Sri Lanka to a scre of 135, which is not a good total to defend as far as standards of T20 are concerned. However New Zealand team is aslo in tourble as they have lost wickets at regualr intervals. Match is said to be equally balanced between the two teams. I personally wish New Zealand win this match. Let us what the live score of them match in the right corner and see whats happnes.

Currenn situation is that New Zealand require another 52 runs with 7 wickets and 37 balls remaining

ICC Twenty Twenty world Cup match 2: Tomoroow the secon match of the tournaments will be played between West Indies and Ireland. Ireland may be considered minnows but in this format of the game they can defnitely cause a setback. Will see the live match tomorrow for now let see who wins the first match of the tournament.

ICC World Twenty20 2010 - T20 Warm up matches

T20 world cup warm up matches - Pakistan got to winning start

Pakistan got its campaign at the ICC World Twenty20 off to a winning start with a comfortable 68-run win over a Windward Islands X1 on Tuesday.

Mohammad Hafeez starred in Pakistan's total of 160-7 off 20 overs with an entertaining knock of 57 off 40 balls.

In reply the Windward Islands X1 struggled to reach 92-4 off 20 overs in the face of a strong Pakistan attack, who still managed to concede 11 wides.

Mohammad Aamer was arguably the pick of the bowlers with 1-13 off four overs, although wickets were shared around the side.

ICC Twenty20 warm-up Match - Trinidad & Tobago Beat Ireland

Ireland is already considered a weaker team in the ICC T20 world cup and they failed to perfom better in the warm up game against Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad & Tobago is a goo dteam and they performed well in the champions leaague held in India last year.

Ireland managed to score 90 runs only and this small score was easily chased by the home team in only 7.1 over by the loss of one wicket. A loss by 9 wickets by the local team but have made a dent in the confidence of the Ireland team but they have time to amend it when they play the smae team in another warm up match on Firday.

India T20 Troubles - Verender Sehwag out of World Twenty20

Virender Sehwag has suffered a shoulder injury and is ruled out of the ICC T20 world cup. Sehwag has been replaced by Tamil Nadu batsman M Vijay adn in place of Sehwag now Gautam Gambhir will be the vice captain of the Indian twenty twenty team. same kind of injury ruled Sehwag from the T20 team last itme and Indi awas out of the tournament. Lets see what happens this time.

India Vs Afghanistan Live - Twenty Twenty World Cup

India will play its first match of ICC T20 world cup on May 01, against a new team Afghanistan. Afghanistan recently qualified for the twenty twenty world cup and a good performance here may give the team the exposure and some chances for the other version of the games also.

Afghanistan cricket team will also face another match against one more tough opponent south Africa on May5.

Other team who qualified for T20 world cup is Ireland and they will play against England and West Indies.

Now wait and watch if both these team can do any miracles here. Even one victory for both the teams will be a big moral booster.
