India and Sri Lanka to chase 300 plus scores on same day

It was tough day for the bowlers of the 2011 world cup finalists. Yes I am talking about India and Sri Lanka, both these teams play their respective ODI matches today against England and Australia respectively. Firstly Aussies batter very well against Sri Lanka, posting a total of 305 runs. Sri Lankan team in return made a mesh of the chase and they are already struggling at 194 with all the specialist batsmen gone back to pavilion. They already have lost 8 wickets in 40 overs thus they only can delay the loss and lessen the defeat margin.

Now if we take a look at match between India and England, this was one of the most solid batting display I've every seen by England team. They have posted 325 runs and India needs to score one run more to win the match. Given the form of team India its unlikely they will cross 250 runs today.

Indian cricket team is all set to chase the target of 326 in few minutes from now. So lets finish your tasks quickly and watch the team India batting.

Australia Vs Sri Lanka CB series Final Match Live

Only these two teams deserved to be in the final of the CB series (Tri-nation cricket ODI tournament that include India, Sri Lanka & Australia) and what a tournament both the teams are having. After pushing India our of the finals both the team have played two matches of the best of three finals. Australia won the first final match whereas Sri Lanka won the second final match played today. Now both the teams will play each other again on the third final of the tournament which is also the decisive final. Which means team winning the third final will take home the CB series trophy along with the winning amount ;)

For Sri Lanka this win will be a consolation win after losing two successive world cup finals; both times to the other teams in the series i.e India and Australia. Please also note that this performance from the Sri Lankan cricket team is coming from a time when their payments are on hold. Yes you read this right, due to financial crisis in Sri Lankan cricket board the team is not being paid their wages, reports were that they have not got their dues for the world cup 2011 as well. Salute to the players of team Sri Lanka. I also predict today Sri Lanka playing the final of next tournament Asia Cup as well.

Australian team on the other hand is building up again slowly and recovering from the transitioning phase of the seniors from the team. A win here will be a boost for the young Aussie team. Let’s wait and watch the third final match of the CB series between

India will play the second match of the tri-series against Sri Lanka tomorrow at Perth. Indian cricket team lost the first match to the hosts Australia by some 60 odd runs. Indian team will be facing Sri Lanka first time after they played each other in the world cup 2010 final, which India won. However Indian team has been on a depletion road after the world cup victory and same is the story with Sri Lankan cricket team as well. One another important fact I’d like to mention is that since the world cup Virendar Sehwag and M.S. Dhoni have never featured together in an one day international match. Bangladesh Vs West Indies ODI series: Though Bangladesh managed to score 200+ runs are loosing 3 wickets for less than 5 runs but that score wasn't enough and they lost the match along with the series. Bangladesh is now 2-0 behind in the 3 match series and the last match on 18 i sthe one they can play for a consolidation win and to go positive into the test match series against West Indies.

India Vs England 2nd ODI: Though India won the first one day match by a big margin there is still a long way to go in the series and England can bounce back any time. One thing is guaranteed if England didn;t manage to win the second ODI cricket match tomorrow at Delhi, then the series lost is impossible to save.

England Team Arrives in India & Champions League T20 Matches Update

England team arrived in India and this team is now the number 1 ranked in ICC test rankings also the team is on a high as they have not let India win a single game in last series in England. Indian team was humiliated like its not a test playing team but a contracted nation of ICC.

England defeated India 4-0 in test, won the only T20 match in which we saw the debut and retirement of Rahul Dravid fr4om the T20s. Also they won the 5 match ODI series 3-0. Now the challenge for England to win the series here in India as well and if they manage to do so then in no doubt they will remain in the top of ICC rankings no matter how many matches they play.

For Indian cricket team there is no need to worry as they already had the excuse to unfit players and one statement for MS Dhoni in post match ceremony that we are playing without key players and its difficult to win matches under such circumstances.

This time there isn't much excitement about Champions league T20 and the updates from the series is that Mumbai Indians, New South Wales, team has qualifies for the semi finals of the tournament whereas the defending champions Chennai Super Kings are out of the tournament with three defeats.

England Look for clean Sweep - India Vs England Live Test Match

England team already won the series, achieve number one rankings in ICC test rankings and leading series 3-0. Imagin what frame of mind the England team may be at this point of time, certainly they might be looking for winning the fouth and final test to make it a clean sweep. I'd no doubt about that.

Zimbabwe, Australia take 2-0 lead in their respective ODI series

Yes both Zimbabwe and Australia and leading the 5 ODI series by 2-0 against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively. The only difference in that Zimbabwe is leading the series in the home, whereas Australia is touring Sri Lanka.

If we look at Australia and Sri Lanka series, Sri Lanka batter first in both the matches and was unable to score a high score and all the team got out cheaply, thus Australian cricket team didn't have any problem chasing the small totals.

On the other hand Zimbabwe has two easy wins thanks for some very good bowling from Brian Vitori who is so far having a dream first series with 10 wickets in his first 2 ODIs.

Now lets also come to unforgettable series for team India the test series against England. India not only lost the series but they also lost the number 1 rankings in test cricket and they are on the verge to slip to the position number 3 if they loose the 4th match as well.

India vs England Second Test Match Live - India in Trouble

Forget about team India winning the test this test match India is on the verge trailing series by 2-0. England has already taken 374 runs lead on day third and its most likely that they will add another 100 or 150 runs before declaring the inning. And at any cost a target of 500 or 450 will be difficult for India to achieve.

Indian batting line is already depleted and they need to bat 2 full days to save the test which is highly unlikely to happen. Indian batting opening is very weak right from the tour of West Indies and it would be very much if you can expect a 50 runs opening partnership and I bet if that happen tomorrow then definitely Indian can draw the test match.

Now once again debate of India being the number one test team and England claiming to be the number test team will become hot. But one must not forget that Indian team is already playing without leading fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and also missing regular openers Virendar Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. I wonder if they all made to the this test match India will have a good chance to make a comeback in the series but also they need to save this match at any cost to keep the numero uno position safe.

Good start for India but still trail by 100 runs

Dravid and VVS Laxman gave India a good start after first ball dismissal of openor Abhimanyu Mukund. Together they both build the partnership of 93 runs, before Laxman got out after scoring 54 runs. It seemed like India can take advantage of the situation but Sachin Tendulkar fell right after lunch, in a situation India still trailing by 100 runs.

Dravid is still looking good and it all depends upon him and the fellow batsmen Raina, Yuvraj and Dhoni to bat well and take some substantial first inning lead even if they have to play some risky shots.

There are still 53 overs left for today but the way Indian team is batting its hard to say if they can take any lead all Indian fans can pray is that they don't loose lots of wickets.
