This will be a very long time England made it to this level of any big cricket tournament. I'd like to see England in the final of this twenty twenty world cup. On the other hand Sri Lanka were the runners up of the last T20 world cup, they have been making to the finals for many tournaments but unable to convert then into champions.
Given the way England has played this time they must be high on confidence and will be looking forward to defeat Sri Lanka. Watch for the live score of the first semi final of the T20 world cup on ICC Cricket blog.
I am sure a win here for England will give them a better chance in Ashes later in November this year, where they will look forward to defeat the arch rivals Australia who are also looking strong in this format of T20 than only tournament they haven't own so far.

Twenty Twenty Live - Super Eight Matches today
2 matches will be played to decide fate of three teams India, West Indies and Sri Lanka. Both India and West Indies will be playing in one match of the two. For West Indies victory will mean they will move to the next round, however even if India win they match first point os to win with a good margin and second one is that West Indies loose to Australia. Given the form of Australia it looks very rare they will loose to West Indies.
I forget to mention Sri Lanka for them Victory will make it to the semi finals of the T20 world cup however even if they loose but manage to score 144 runs they will knock India out of the tournament.
India have set a target of 164 but for Sri Lanka 144 will be enough to move to the next round. So what will team India play for a win of restrict Sri Lanks for a score less than 144.
Nothing I think because even doing so much hard work will get in vain if West Indies win the next match so Indian just pack up.

Twenty 20 World Cup Match - India Vs West Indies Live
Todays mathc in T20 is crucial for both the teams they must win this match to survive in the tournament. The team whic loose todyas match will be out of the tournament and will have to play the one more formality match left. where India will play Sri Lanka and West Indies will play Australia. for any of the today's winner wining the next game will also be crucial. I am sure net run rate will come to play in deciding who moves to next round.
In another match today Australia will play Sri Lanka both the teams have won one match in the super eight league and will look forward to win this one also to make sure they move to te next round .
Results of yesterdays matches:
1. England 168 for 7 (Pietersen 53, Botha 2-15) beat South Africa 129 (Duminy 39, Sidebottom 3-23) by 39 runs
2. New Zealand 133 for 7 (Vettori 38, B McCullum 33) beat Pakistan 132 for 7 (Butt 67*, Butler 3-19) by one run
The New Zealand and Pakistan match was a close thriller and it reminded me of ICC T20 world cup final where India beat Pakistan in tha last ball of the tournament. Till the 4th ball of the last over Pakistan was looking strong and it seem they will win the match but last 2 balls changes the face of the match.

ICC T20 World Cup Live Scores
Well you can watch the live score of the Englan Vs Ireland match on the right corner. I'd really liek to appreciate the Ireland bowlers as they have successfully managed to restrict England to a score of 120 runs in 2o overs they also managed to pick up 8 wickets. Now all they Ireland batsment need to do is play with full confident and make sure they play all the full overs. I bert if the Ireland team play all the full overs they will definitely win the match. Good luck to them.
In the previous match effected by rain New Zealand qualified for the next round (super league) of the ICC twent twenty world cup by Duckworth Luis method.
Here is the summary of the score: Zimbabwe 84 (15.1/20 ov) and New Zealand 36/1 (8.1/8.1 ov) New Zealand won by 7 runs (D/L method)
Tomorrow is another day where we can hope to see minnows to give shock to the favorites of the tournament yes I am talking about Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Afganistan will play against South Africa and both the teams need to win the match to stay in the tournament. Whereas Bangladesh will take on Australia who just defeated the defenign champion, also for bangladesh its a must win situation. Let see if there can be a miracle tomorrow and today also if Ireland manage to chase the scre of 120.

T20 World Cup Match Today Live Score
Today is the day three of the ICC T20 World cup and two matches will be played. The match umber 5 and 6 of the twenty twenty cup tournament will be played among "India Vs South Africa" and "Pakistan Vs Australia".
Both India and Pakistan have won their first matches of the tournament, whereas Australia and South Africa will play the first match of the world cup T20. Both the two teams have still to prove that they are the best in this format of the cricket.
Pakitstanon the way to defend T20 worl champion title
Well they started the first match as champions, Bangladesh looked no where impressive in the bowling except in the death overs. Pakistan has set a target of 173 runs to win for Bangladesh. Given such a huge score to chase Bangladesh mad a horror start by loosing first wicket at the score of one run. Noe let see how Bangladesh will chase the target.
Tomorrows matches:
Group C: India v South Africa at Gros Islet - India has won the first match and seems they are now eligible for the next round however if they won the tomorrows match it will give me the confidence that team India has the potential to win the T20 world cup once again.
Australia v Pakistan at Gros Islet - Pakistan will take on Australia in the sixth match of the tournament - Now here Australia need to win this match and make a solid start. Aussies are yet to prove there worth in this format of the game.

T20 World Cup Match - Pakistan Vs Bangladesh
India wonthe match again debutant team Afghanistan, well for Afghanistan team I saw some good performance with both with bat and ball. In the batting Noor Ali scored a half century and he looked very confident from the first ball he faced. Also there was fifty runs partnership between Noor and Stanikzai. In bowling Zadran bowled a superb spell giving just 8 runs and took a wicket. Now he might by very happy with such a great bowling figures in his first match that too against worlds number one batting line up.
Second match of the day will begin in new few minutes between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the same ground. Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat first.
Now see will they be able to post a high scre or this one will also be a low scroing match as previous three encounters.

Live India Vs Afghanistan Twenty Twenty Match - T20 World Cup
New Zealand and West Indies made a winning start to the tournament, for New zealand it was a heard fight whic they somehow managed to win in the end with one ball to spare. For West Indies it was a easy win hopefully this win will boost there hopes and home advantage is the next big thing for the carribean team.
Below are the final scores of both T20 world cup matches:
New Zealand 139 for 8 (Ryder 42, Murali 2-25) beat Sri Lanka 135 for 6 (Jayawardene 81) by two wickets
West Indies 138 for 9 (Sammy 30, Dockrell 3-16) beat Ireland 68 (Sammy 3-8, Rampaul 3-17) by 70 runs
Today the third match of the tournament will be played between the winners of the First T20 world cup in 2007 and the debutants Afghanistan. Afghanistan team will be playing to mark up there place in world of cricket and in case they manage to cause a setback it would be good for a country whic in already in trouble for various reasons.
I personaly wish Afghanistan makes it to next round of the tournament atleast, a new coutry needs such thing to boos cricket there. Wheather they win or not is a secondary thing Afghanistan team should play to give a real fight to the Indian team. Match should not be a single sided match.
Catch up the live action within few hours.
Another match will be played today between the defending champions Pakistan and Bangladesh.

ICC T20 Match updates - Live Scores
First match of the ICC twenty twenty world cup is goind to a clost encounter. New Zealand managed to restric Sri Lanka to a scre of 135, which is not a good total to defend as far as standards of T20 are concerned. However New Zealand team is aslo in tourble as they have lost wickets at regualr intervals. Match is said to be equally balanced between the two teams. I personally wish New Zealand win this match. Let us what the live score of them match in the right corner and see whats happnes.
Currenn situation is that New Zealand require another 52 runs with 7 wickets and 37 balls remaining

ICC twenty twenty world cup first match live score
1st Match, Group B: New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Providence : The match will be played today at 17:00 GMT. Watch out for the live score of the match and other useful updates through our the tournament.
Though Sri Lanka may seem to be favorites for the match as they were the runners up for the ICC T20 world cup just 10 months back and most of the main players have good match practice in recent IPL Twenty twenty series.
On the other hand New Zealand is the team who has always been a champoin team who lacks a good luck, I hopw this time New Zealand Kiwis would fly and fly high.
The match would be a close encounter.

Mohammad Aamer was arguably the pick of the bowlers with 1-13 off four overs, although wickets were shared around the side.

ICC Twenty20 warm-up Match - Trinidad & Tobago Beat Ireland
Ireland is already considered a weaker team in the ICC T20 world cup and they failed to perfom better in the warm up game against Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad & Tobago is a goo dteam and they performed well in the champions leaague held in India last year.
Ireland managed to score 90 runs only and this small score was easily chased by the home team in only 7.1 over by the loss of one wicket. A loss by 9 wickets by the local team but have made a dent in the confidence of the Ireland team but they have time to amend it when they play the smae team in another warm up match on Firday.

Kolkata Knight riders vs Kings XI Punjab
Knight riders captain Suarav Ganguly have won the toss decided to bat first. This is the 34th match of IPL 3. Kings XI Punjab are already out of the tournament but they can still prove a spoiler for few of the teams whose hopes for entering the semi finals stage are still alive.
I doubt this match can cost much to Kolkata knight riders ans for kings xi Punjab there is nothing to loose so they will definitely give more to this match.
There are more updates about ICC Twenty Twenty world cup beginning April 30th but I think I will start the coverage of the event after April 20 till then all of the IPL league matches will be over and only 4 matches would be left.
