Can Pakistan defend 149 runs

Pakistan team has scored 149 runs in the given 20 overs. Now they need to stop Australian batsmen to achieve the target of 150, failing to do so means this will be the last match of Pakistan in the ICC T20 world cup 2012. However little hope might be there given that South Africa beat India and then the net run rate comes into the criteria to decide which team qualifies for the semi finals. Even Pakistan may need to win this match significantly by a large margin as there might be a condition where India also wins the match against South Africa and then the team with higher runs rate among India and Pakistan will qualify.

Let wait and watch how the match proceeds but in my opinion the first 6 overs would be sufficient to decide the fate of the twenty twenty match being today between Pakistan and Australia. In the next few minutes Australian innings will starts so just have a quick break and get tuned to the match score once again.

Pakistan recover from a poor start

Except Australia all the three team in this Group of Super 8 has to play the most important match for the tournament today. A defeat for any one of India, Pakistan and South Africa will mean exit way from the tournament.

Please note that any one team from the above three will qualify for the semi-finals of ICC T20 world cup 2012. Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies are the team that have already qualified for the semi finals.

Considering that this is an important match for Pakistan and they need to win this match at any cost to make it to the semi finals. The Pakistan team made a slow but the team can hope of a quick recovery as they don't have lost much wickets as they did in previous match against India. So far 13 overs has been bowled with Pakistan scoring 89 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. If they can manage to take the score to above 160 runs they'll have a chance to win the match. Thought the Pakistani team bowler will have to do the tough tasks for stooping the likes to  David Warner and Shane Waston and keep them from scoring boundaries, which they have been doing easily so far in the twenty twenty world cup tournament.

ICC Cricket Records - Most Consecutive tst wins against an opposition

Most consecutive Test wins against a team record is no held by Australian team with 13 consecutive test wins against Pakistan. The record was previously held my Sri Lanka with 12 wins against Bangladesh (A record Sri Lanka can better with time). Even South Africa, England and Pakistan has chances to hold this record in future if they play few test match against Bangladesh. South Africa and England have won 8 matches whereas Pakistan have won six consecutive matches against Bangladesh.
