276 Runs target for India - ICC World Cup Final
As said in my previous post Last 10 deciding overs of Sri Lanka Batting Sri Lankan cricket team really batted well in the last 10 overs and posed a competitive total for India to chase. At one point it seemed that India can restrict Sri Lanka ubnder 250 runs but a stunning century by Mahela Jayawardene made them score 274 runs. Indian chase will totally depend upon how the top 4 batsmen will score today specially the openers. India chase is about to begin in few minutes and I'll catch you with more updates soon . Just wait for few more hours to know who is the ICC worlc cup champion 2011
World Cup India Vs Ireland Match Live Score Updates
Well 2011 world cup has another draw match but this time match was drawn due to rain. Sri Lanka and Australia both shared a equal points from todays match and are now placed second in the poins table after Pakistan in groub B. Though both team hav equal points theonly difference is that Sri Lanka has played one more match as compared to Australia. The other draw match was between India and England.
Please note that both these drawn matches will havea great influence on the future of the world cup especially the knock out stages.
Another important match will be played tomorrow between India and Ireland. Ireland who already have won match against England, but I must say team is not riding high on the win as the captain said on pre match conference that they (Ireland team) will
have to make a fresh start for tomorrows match. No matter Indian team looks strong here but the Indian think tank is also worried after Ireland's victory over England.
I am confident of Indian team winning tomorrows match and I want that team India should bat second in tomorrows match as I will want to see how strong batting line up can chase a score. I will keep you updated tomorrows about match progress. Do visit again. In the mean while dont forget to havea look at updated world cup points table.

World Cup 2011 is on
Now its just matter of 2 hours and first match of the 2011 cricket world cup will begin between two of the co-hosts India and Bangladesh. Media and many crciekting experts are considering India and the favorites for this world cup but I doubt if they will witn this wolrd cup. But as far as todays match is concerned defintiely India team is stronger than the the Bangladesh cricket team and definitely India will be goin to win this match.
But more important thing will be how they are going to win this match in case Indian team struggle to win easily then this world definitely is not be an easy ride for them. For Bangladesh team it is a journey for rising the team is slowly improving and hopefully one day they will rist to the status other Asian countries but world cup is not for them in near future, it may take centuries givend the fact that countries like South Africa, England are still to taste the world cup victory.
Watch all the live action of todays openign match of the world cup I'll keep you updated about anything and everytihng worth sharing.
Thanks and enjot the match....

Match 4 - Australia vs Zimbabwe -Ahemdabad
Fourth match of the ICC cricket world cup will be a group A match played between
Australia v Zimbabwe at Ahmedabad. Given the fact that Australia has won the world cup maximum number of times and Zimbabwe is a troubled nation team, this match is also going to be a one sided match. Now till now we have seen that all the 3 previous matches also seem to be one sided affairs. Her is the pre-match review of the first three matches of the 2011 world cup:

Perhaps this is the trend of all worl cup tournaments be it hockey, cricket, soccer or any other game. Games get exciting as the competition goes by. My best wishes to the zimbabwe team this nation definitely needs a world cup win fo rthe game to survie and grow in the nation. I really wnat them not to exit in the first phase of the tournament.

A Voice For ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Mascot, Stumpy
Chosen following an online selection process that drew proposals from thousands of cricket fans around the world, the official mascot of the ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup ‘Stumpy,’ is giving a chance for Sri Lankan cricket fans to give him a voice.
The ‘Voice for Stumpy’ promotion will enable Sri Lankan cricket fans around the country, to get into World Cup mode and familiarize themselves with Stumpy, the Official Mascot. ‘Voice for Stumpy’ will also help create excitement for this world class event and inject some fun along the way.
Conducted across all three major languages via selected radio stations, the ‘Voice for Stumpy’ on air promotion will occur from late November to early December. During the promotion, on a daily basis, the Radio Personality will reveal a particular ‘cricketing’ related term and encourage listeners to call in and voice that term as Stumpy would, in effect giving a voice to Stumpy.
Whilst gibberish and various unusual sounds are expected to be heard, listeners are also welcome to convert their ‘Voice for Stumpy’ into a cheer or song.
According to the organisers, Stumpy is aged 10 human years, is enthusiastic and determined, thinks cricket is the most fun game in the world, loves playing street cricket – would play 24/7 if he could, worships cricket heroes, their technique, skill and character, understands there is a lot to learn and works hard at it along the way learning to master the art of concentration while he also dreams of playing in the World Cup, one day!
In addition to daily prizes, the winner of the grand prize will walk away with a pair of tickets to a Quarter Final Game of the ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup.
India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka jointly host the 10th World Cup from February 19 to April 2. The opening ceremony of the World Cup will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 17. The 43-day, 49-match tournament will be played under a new format with India hosting a majority of matches (29), including the final at the new-look Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on April 2. Games in Sri Lanka will commence on February 20.
Reservations for the 12 games in Sri Lanka are now underway and the organisers urge the public to make sure of their place as tickets for the tournament are moving swiftly.

Joyce formet England Batsmen to represent Ireland in World cup 2011
Former England batsman Ed Joyce has been cleared to represent Ireland at the World Cup in February next year after being granted a special dispensation by the ICC.
"Ed was granted permission for his four-year standout period to be slightly reduced so that he could compete in the World Cup," explained an ICC spokesperson. "This was done on the basis of exceptional circumstances and the unique facts of his specific case, which included his Irish background and his very strong ties to Irish cricket from childhood up to senior national representation."

This time I see West Indies as a good chance to win the wold cup, last they played world cup in Indian subcontinent they were unlucky to lost the knock out match. Apart from this India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has the home advantage that all the three teams can capitalize. I can't say much about team India till the playing squad for cricket world cup is declared.
In the mean time latest news is that ICC will soon be inspecting the stadiums and pitches of the world cup venue and given the quality of cricket played in these countries hardly any issue can be raised.
In the next post I will write about world cup fixtures and after that the future posts will features one by one prediction of the match results. Till the second round. So keep visiting.

Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium Inspection by ICC for world cup 2011
ICC is not happy with the facilites of the famous Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Stadium is one of the venue for World Cup 2011 matches. The ICC pitch consultant Andy Atkinson has recommended couple of changes that need to be taken before world cup starts.
"Grass appeared lacking in nutrients and unanticipated amount of weeds present. It is noticeable that the playing surface needs renovation and repair to bring it up to the required condition. Overall, the condition of playing surface is disappointing." This is the few lines of noitce send to the Karnatak cricket borad.
Reportedly Ranji Trophy quarter-final and final were also played at some other destination dure to poor outfield here.
