Pollard Help West Indies post a competitive total

West Indies team rely heavily on the power hitting of Keron Pollard and today he saved the West Indies team against the Ireland. Time he arrives West Indies team was struggling with less than 200 runs scred at the avers of around 4 runs per over. However after spendin few voers in the crease Pollard opted for the power play and truned the game to the favor of his team.

West Indes has set a target of 276 runs for the Ireland team and this target seems a tough task but as they have chased 300+ runs against England the Irish team may go for the kill here.

Batting for the Ireland team will begin in 15 minuted from now and if they manage to post a 80 to 100 runs opening partnership we will have a chance to see a close match in the world cup.

Match 24 ICC world Cup Sri Lanka VS Zimbabwe

Sri Lank got of to a flying start both the openers scored centuroies and are still not out while game is progressing in the 41 over. Dilshan is playing on 127 and Upul Tharanga is batting on 109. Now I rarely see if Zimbabwe bowlers can do any miracle here but they can get some compensatory wickets in case Sri Lanka batsmen try to exce,l the score.

Sri Lanka has score 248 run in 41.1 overs without loosing any wickets and this game is also heading for a 300+ score.

NewZealand on the top of points table after defeating Pakistan

Pakistan paid a heavy price today for poor fielding and some poor bowling in the last 6 overs. They gave three chances to Ross Taylor in the beginning of his batting and he later went to score unbeated century. There was a position in the match where 250 looked very hard to achieve for the Kiwis but they leated went on posting 302 runs for the loss of seven wickets. It was 35th obver when I made this post and predicted a scre pof 280 if achieved woubd be Ok and if Pakistan can manage to restrict New Zealand team under 250 then they game would be of the Pakistansis. Both these projected scores were somewhat achievable but last 6 overs have some bang bang band batting display.

Now lets see in India will manage to remain at the top of points table tomorrow or not. Watch the next match of India against Netherlands

Many people are taking this match as Sehwag vs ten Doeschate. Let see how the match will progress. Like many other ICC assosciates Netherlands mayalso want to go home with atleast one win. Tomorrows match may not ne the one they may consider winning. But yes Netherlands team will have a great experience playing against the number one team at the home. For Team India I want to see some changes in the team like gettin R Ashwin and Ashish Nehra back in the team.

Indian team looke very poor in bowling and they will need to get a good bowling combination before moving to the knock out rounds of the world cup. Let wait and watch how tomorrows match may go for team India and Netherlands as well. New Zealand 142/4 in 35 overs - Need to push for runs

New Zealand lost 2 quick wickets at the start of the innings but Martkin Guptil and Ross Taylor batted well to build the innings for Neww Zealand. Once Marting Guptil was bowlede by Shahid Afridi delivery, other wicket also fell quickly. Now New Zealand can make a strong comeback in the match only be batting well in the last 15 overs and if they can manage to score somewhere around 280 it won't be easy for Pakistan to chase the score.

For Pakistan it would be ideal if they can pick some quick wickets and manage to restric New Zealand under 250 otherwise it wont be easy for them to chase.

Tomorrow is another important match specially for New Zealand team. They definitely need to win this match so as to make it to the next round comfortably. Does MS Dhoni follows my ICC Cricket Blog

Yes, question arise from the fact that in my previous post titled "World Cup India Vs Ireland Match Live Score Updates" I just posted that I want to see India chase against Ireland and same thing happened today. Indian captain M S Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. He said he expected the track to be more helpful to bowlers inthe noon than in the evening. I am not sure if this is true but I am sure that Irelands successful chase of 300+ socre against England might have some influence on Dhoni's decision to bowl first.

In the mean while England bowlers failed to cause any early blows to south African batting line up. Though South Africa had a slow start as they score just 38 runs in 9 overs but keepoin in view thy don't have a hug target to achieve this will not bother the captain, coach or the team.
