India to play wirth the winning combination

After the huge 99 runs victory against Australia in second one day international, Indian cricket team selection committee has decided to retain the same winning squad for the next two one day matches to be played in Delhi and Chandigarh on 31 Oct and 2nd November respectively.

Currently series is leveled 1-1 and next two match will be decider who will win the series.

India Vs Australia 2nd ODI Nagpur

I recently completed my double century of posts at http://icccricket.blogspot.com and I hope the post no 201 will bring some good luck for team India. India is playing second one day match against Australia at Nagpur today. Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the match and put India to bat first, though Sachin Tendulkar was out scoring only 4 runs, Virendar Sehwag mar a quickfire 40 runs 31 balss giving India a solid start. Currently Yuvraj and Gambhir are bating and run rate is more than 6 runs an over and I am sure if Indian middle order bastmen any of the current batting or the batsmen yet to come manage a 100 runs partnership then todays match if definitely for the Indians.

Current score: IND 97/2 in 15 Overs
Current Run rate:6.47

India VS Australia 2nd ODI in Nagpur

India VS Australia 2nd ODI in Nagpur

After the loss in first one day team India must be looking forward for a good luck around the inclusion of stylish batsmen Yuvraj Singh back in playing 11. Also visiting team had three key players injured and there inclusion in the team will depend upon the fitness of the players. chances are there that all three Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson as well as all-rounder James Hopes will not play the match tomorrow.

Also I would like to inform you that this my double century at ICC Cricket blog. 200 posts has been made to this blog now and thank all of the visitors for making this blog a huge success. In the next post i.e post number 201 I will post the memories of the ICC cricket blog including some of the top blog post and few all time hits posts.

Wishing team India good luck for tomorrows match.

India Vs Australia - Australis ended the innings well

Some quick breakthroughs in the middle of the innings till over number 45 have made Indian cricket team look good in the match but in the last 5 overs Indian bowlers lost the momentum and the whole situation now is dependent on the performance of the batsmen.

It wuld be greathow the openers Sachin and Gambhir wil bat on a good batting pitch. Sehwag is back in the team and this means Indian teaam can hope to chase a score of 300 runs today.

The target for Indian team is 293 in 50 overs. I thought Australia wil sore a maximum of around 283 runs but a poor spell by Parveen Kumar of 15 plus runs in his last two overs made Australia score of 292. Thanks to a great last over by Ishant Sharma, in the last over he conceeded only 1 run and too 2 wickets.

India Vs Australia one day series series update

First match of the seven match one day series betwenn India and Australia is in play today at Vodadra. Australian captain won the toss and decided to to bat first. Indian were to a good start gettin the first wicket early at the score of 5 runs, then Ponting and Paine got a good partnership that was broekn by Isahn Sharma. Currently both teams are equally in the match and next few overs will decide ill be India or Australia who have the upper hand in the match.

Current score is Australia 183 for the loss of 3 wickets in 36 overs. And if India can restrict Australia anytihg under 300 its gonaa be win for India.

Please also not that two straight wins in the series will take India to numer one postion in ICC ODI rankings.

India vs Australia - War has already begin

India vs Australia - War has already begin - Yes the war of mind game and comments have already started. Please find below some of the quotes from the players of both the teams.

India will face Australia in the first match of the seven-match One-day series on October 25 and already the series has started to draw a fair bit of attention. Hosts India and Australia have enjoyed number of intense rivalries on-field in recent times but their off-field emotions add spice to the tale.

Australian all-rounder Cameron White said it will not be easy to beat India in the One-day series. "The Indians will be very hard to beat on their home soil. I think it will be a good, hard and exciting series between the two countries," White said. "The Indians will get the support of thousands," he added.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting conceded that despite their ICC Champions Trophy debacle, Dhoni's men would be hard to beat in home conditions. "They will be particularly hard to beat in India, they always are. They definitely play a lot better at home than they do when they travel," Ponting said.

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who always had the edge against the Aussies, said the tourists have always been a very tough opposition. They have regrouped well after the retirements of their big guns. Also, since they lost the Test series last year in India, they will be hungry for win.

Zaheer Khan is hungry to have a go at the Australians. "They talk so much about the opposition. It is time they look at their own side rather than comment about others," Zaheer said.

Trinidad & Tobago beat New South Wales - Champions League

Final Scores:
Trinidad & Tobago 171 for 6 (Pollard 54, Ramdin 23) New South Wales 170 for 4 ( Hughes 83, Warner 63) by four wickets

Hero of the match Pollard who sailed Trinidad & Tobago with his brialliant half century in just less than three overs. Pollard scored a violent 18-ball 54 runs and help achieve a total that at a point seemed to be impossible to chase.

Sachin & 2011 Cricket World Cup

Rahul Dravid has been dropped from the Indian cricket team after being selected in the team from nowhere and this thing may be seen as most people that its the end for senior players in Indian Cricket Team. Exclusion of Saurav Ganguly and Rahul dravid may support the clain but one thing is sure that Sachin Tendulkar is determined to play the next ICC Cricket world cup and of course the way he is playing he will continue to do so. Even at 36, he is fully deserving of a place. The rest of the batting - Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are automatic choices.

ODI team for Australia series

As predicted by me in my previous post http://icccricket.blogspot.com/2009/10/australia-tour-of-india-odi-squad-to-be.html Rahul Dravid has been dropped from the Indian one day team for Australia series.

Full Indian squad :

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Sudeep Tyagi, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma.

ICC World Cup 20011 Final - Mumbai - India

Mumbai will hos tthe final match of 20011 ICC world cup and thus Mumbai takes the honour of being the secone India city to host world cup final after Kolkata.

Apart from final Mumbai will also host two other cricket matches of the world cup.
The other Indian cities to get big matches are Mohali (semifinal) and Ahmedabad (quarterfinal). Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are other countries who are co-hosting the world cup 2011.

Australia tour of India - ODI Squad to be announced today

After the failure of Indian cricket team in ICC Champions trophy, the judgment day for the Indian cricket team selectors have come. given the form and fitness of various players selectors would be under huge pressure while selecting the team.

One of the major debate among selection committee may be for Rahul Dravid who made comeback for ODIs after two years in the Champions trophy and given his scores in the series (14, 47, 39, 76 and 4) and neither favoring nor against him. But as Yuvraj and Sehwag both are declared fit, Dravid is most likely to be out of the ODI team. Inconsistency of Yusuf Pathan, Ishant Sharma and RP singh will be the other hot topic after Rahul Dravid and new bowling attack with some spinner joining Harbhajan Singh may be seen.

Twenty Twenty Thriller - Diamond Eagles beat Sussex

Twenty Twenty Thriller - Diamond Eagles beat Sussex Yes it was a T20 thriller scores of both team being tied in twenty overs and match then progressing to SUPER OVER, I guessed BOWL OUT would have been more interesting. The match refreshed the memories of ICC Cricket T20 world cup India vs Pak bowl out I have posted the video also ;)

With this win Diamond Eagles qualified for the Super eight of the Champions League Twenty20. Sussex Sharks is now out of the tournament.

Chasing 120 to win, Diamond Eagles made 119 for four in 20 overs as the match ended in a tie and stretched into the Super Over.

Diamond Eagles started off well but lost momentum in the middle overs as they lost a few wickets. Rossouw made a super half-century but fell at a crucial stage.

Ryan McLaren kept his cool to strike two boundaries in the final over and tie the match. Batting first in the Super Over, Rossouw came to the party yet again. Along with McLaren the duo added 9 runs off the bowling off Arafat.

However, only two balls were needed to determine the winner as Cornelius de Villiers shattered Sussex's chances of qualification by bowling Smith and Brown of consecutive deliveries.
