India Vs Australia Series updates

7 matches series is tied ar 2-2 wins each for India and Australia. Indian team have been pulled to back seat by Australia who defeated the favorites for Mohali one day match in a low scoring encounter. Good news for team India is that the consistent performer in every format of the game batsmen Gautam Gambhir has been declared fit for tomorrows match at Hyderabad. Whereas Australian team is still worried about the injuries.

Probable players for tomorrows match from both the team can be as follows:

Australia possible playing 11: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Shaun Marsh, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt.), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Cameron White, 6 Adam Voges, 7 Graham Manou (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Nathan Hauritz, 10 Ben Hilfenhaus, 11 Doug Bollinger.

India possible playing 11: 1 Virender Sehwag, 2 Sachin Tendulkar, 3 Gautam Gambhir, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 MS Dhoni (capt./wk), 6 Suresh Raina, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Praveen Kumar, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Ashish Nehra.

Pitch report forecast: Hyderabad pitch is loved by batsmen its pretty flat pitch and ball really comes to bat. Also as in the southern part of India due factor is less thus toss will not play any major role in the match results.

Facts & Stats:
1. Rajiv Gandhi Stadium Hyderabad has not been so lucky to Indian crickets team. India has lost the two previous games to South Africa in 2005-06 and Australia in 2007-08.
2. Yuvraj Singh has score centuries in both those matches.
3. Sachin Tendulkar is 7 runs short for scoring 17000 runs in one day internationals.

Before signing off for today posting few wallpapers for you. Enjoy!!

Sehwag has good starts in the matches but unable to convert in big scores.

Sachin was unlucky once again to be given out by umpire

Sachin Tendulkar - I will score 17K runs tomorrow.
Bhajji good batting in the series but bowling lacking the fire.

Team India practicing.

India Vs Australia - Punjab Cricket Staduim Mohali Match

Match is being played here at PCA stadium Phaise 9 Mohali. India won the toss and elected to field first and so far it seems Indian bowlers have done there task by restricting Australia to a moderate score of 250.

Interesting thing here to watch out would be will Sachin Tendulkar be able to reach the score of 17000 runs in ODI remember that it was the same venue when Sachin broke the Brian Lara record of maximum number of runs in test matches and that game was also against Australia. Same venue same opponent will Sachin be able to repeat the history or say create history.

Indian fielding or we can say Australian runing between the wickets was poor as indina fielder manager to run out 4 Australian batsmen.

Now lets watch Indian run chase.

India to play wirth the winning combination

After the huge 99 runs victory against Australia in second one day international, Indian cricket team selection committee has decided to retain the same winning squad for the next two one day matches to be played in Delhi and Chandigarh on 31 Oct and 2nd November respectively.

Currently series is leveled 1-1 and next two match will be decider who will win the series.

India Vs Australia 2nd ODI Nagpur

I recently completed my double century of posts at http://icccricket.blogspot.com and I hope the post no 201 will bring some good luck for team India. India is playing second one day match against Australia at Nagpur today. Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the match and put India to bat first, though Sachin Tendulkar was out scoring only 4 runs, Virendar Sehwag mar a quickfire 40 runs 31 balss giving India a solid start. Currently Yuvraj and Gambhir are bating and run rate is more than 6 runs an over and I am sure if Indian middle order bastmen any of the current batting or the batsmen yet to come manage a 100 runs partnership then todays match if definitely for the Indians.

Current score: IND 97/2 in 15 Overs
Current Run rate:6.47

India VS Australia 2nd ODI in Nagpur

India VS Australia 2nd ODI in Nagpur

After the loss in first one day team India must be looking forward for a good luck around the inclusion of stylish batsmen Yuvraj Singh back in playing 11. Also visiting team had three key players injured and there inclusion in the team will depend upon the fitness of the players. chances are there that all three Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson as well as all-rounder James Hopes will not play the match tomorrow.

Also I would like to inform you that this my double century at ICC Cricket blog. 200 posts has been made to this blog now and thank all of the visitors for making this blog a huge success. In the next post i.e post number 201 I will post the memories of the ICC cricket blog including some of the top blog post and few all time hits posts.

Wishing team India good luck for tomorrows match.

India Vs Australia - Australis ended the innings well

Some quick breakthroughs in the middle of the innings till over number 45 have made Indian cricket team look good in the match but in the last 5 overs Indian bowlers lost the momentum and the whole situation now is dependent on the performance of the batsmen.

It wuld be greathow the openers Sachin and Gambhir wil bat on a good batting pitch. Sehwag is back in the team and this means Indian teaam can hope to chase a score of 300 runs today.

The target for Indian team is 293 in 50 overs. I thought Australia wil sore a maximum of around 283 runs but a poor spell by Parveen Kumar of 15 plus runs in his last two overs made Australia score of 292. Thanks to a great last over by Ishant Sharma, in the last over he conceeded only 1 run and too 2 wickets.

India Vs Australia one day series series update

First match of the seven match one day series betwenn India and Australia is in play today at Vodadra. Australian captain won the toss and decided to to bat first. Indian were to a good start gettin the first wicket early at the score of 5 runs, then Ponting and Paine got a good partnership that was broekn by Isahn Sharma. Currently both teams are equally in the match and next few overs will decide ill be India or Australia who have the upper hand in the match.

Current score is Australia 183 for the loss of 3 wickets in 36 overs. And if India can restrict Australia anytihg under 300 its gonaa be win for India.

Please also not that two straight wins in the series will take India to numer one postion in ICC ODI rankings.

India vs Australia - War has already begin

India vs Australia - War has already begin - Yes the war of mind game and comments have already started. Please find below some of the quotes from the players of both the teams.

India will face Australia in the first match of the seven-match One-day series on October 25 and already the series has started to draw a fair bit of attention. Hosts India and Australia have enjoyed number of intense rivalries on-field in recent times but their off-field emotions add spice to the tale.

Australian all-rounder Cameron White said it will not be easy to beat India in the One-day series. "The Indians will be very hard to beat on their home soil. I think it will be a good, hard and exciting series between the two countries," White said. "The Indians will get the support of thousands," he added.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting conceded that despite their ICC Champions Trophy debacle, Dhoni's men would be hard to beat in home conditions. "They will be particularly hard to beat in India, they always are. They definitely play a lot better at home than they do when they travel," Ponting said.

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who always had the edge against the Aussies, said the tourists have always been a very tough opposition. They have regrouped well after the retirements of their big guns. Also, since they lost the Test series last year in India, they will be hungry for win.

Zaheer Khan is hungry to have a go at the Australians. "They talk so much about the opposition. It is time they look at their own side rather than comment about others," Zaheer said.

Australia tour of India - ODI Squad to be announced today

After the failure of Indian cricket team in ICC Champions trophy, the judgment day for the Indian cricket team selectors have come. given the form and fitness of various players selectors would be under huge pressure while selecting the team.

One of the major debate among selection committee may be for Rahul Dravid who made comeback for ODIs after two years in the Champions trophy and given his scores in the series (14, 47, 39, 76 and 4) and neither favoring nor against him. But as Yuvraj and Sehwag both are declared fit, Dravid is most likely to be out of the ODI team. Inconsistency of Yusuf Pathan, Ishant Sharma and RP singh will be the other hot topic after Rahul Dravid and new bowling attack with some spinner joining Harbhajan Singh may be seen.

Tendulkar ton puts India on top of Australia

Sachin Tendulkar improved his world record with his 40th test century as India took a marginal advantage over Australia after Thursday's opening day of the series-deciding fourth test.

Tendulkar's 109 from 188 balls was the fulcrum of India's 311-5 stumps score, which put the hosts in a good position to secure the result it needs to maintain or improve its current 1-0 series lead and take the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

He shared a 146-run partnership with V.V.S Laxman for the fourth wicket that steadied the innings after the top order lost three quick wickets shortly before lunch.

Tendulkar, who holds the world run-scoring record with 12,261, played the Australian attack comfortably until he neared his first century of the series.

The Australians missed two chances to remove the right-hander when Mitchell Johnson dropped him on 85 and Brett Lee spilled a tough chance on 96. Both chances came when Tendulkar tried to slog debutant offspinner Jason Krejza over mid-off.

Tendulkar then spent 12 balls on 99 before cutting Krejza for four to bring up his 10th hundred against Australia. He reached the milestone from 166 deliveries, with 12 fours, and celebrated by raising his bat to the crowd and hugging Sourav Ganguly. Australian captain Ricky Ponting is second on the list of test century-makers with 36.

After winning the toss at the new Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium, India began strongly as opener Virender Sehwag blasted his way to an aggressive 66 from 69 deliveries, including nine fours and a six.

Sehwag and Murali Vijay _ standing in for the suspended Gautam Gambhir _ smashed 31 off the opening four overs to kick start a 98-run stand which ended when Shane Watson dug in a short ball and got the edge of Vijay's bat through to wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.

It prompted a mini-collapse, as Krejza _ who concede 32 runs from his opening three overs _ claimed his first test wicket in the next over, dismissing the out-of-form Rahul Dravid for a duck, caught at bat-pad.

Sehwag raced to his 16th test half-century and seemed set for a big score before playing-on to Krejza shortly before lunch.

Laxman, playing his 100th test, provided useful support for Tendulkar and brought up his 37th test half-century on the way to a 114-ball knock of 64.

He became Krejza's third victim when he tried to give himself room to cut, was surprised by the spin and left after Haddin juggled the edge.

Ganguly, who is retiring at the end of the game, and Tendulkar added 41 for the fifth wicket before Tendulkar was lbw to Johnson as Australia took the second new ball.

At stumps, Ganguly was unbeaten on 27 and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was 4 not out.

Krejza had a mixed opening day, taking three prized scalps for 138 in 28 overs at a run-rate of just under five.

Watson and Johnson were the only other wicket-takers on another tough day for Australia’s ineffective attack.

India to face australia without Gautam Gambhir

Nagpur, Nov 5 (PTI) India will miss the services of in-form Gautam Gambhir as they go into the fourth and final cricket Test against Australia here tomorrow, seeking to wrest the Border-Gavaskar Trophy despite a weakened batting line up and a brand new opening combination.

Gambhir's absence means that India will have a new opening partner for Virender Sehwag for the crucial match with 24-year-old Tamil Nadu opener M Vijay set to make his Test debut.

In a highly controversial decision, the ICC Appeals Commissioner Justice Albie Sachs yesterday upheld a one-Test ban on Gambhir without even hearing him which the BCCI refused to accept, saying it violated principles of natural justice.

Gambhir has been the nightmare for the Australian bowlers in the series so far having scored 463 runs, inclusive of a double hundred and a century, for an average in excess of 77.

And Justice Sachs' decision has dealt a huge blow to India's hopes of either winning or drawing the crucial Test on a virgin pitch at the newly constructed Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium at Jamtha.

The Delhi batsman's form in the series has rattled the Australians so much so that their leading scorer in the series, Mike Hussey, said yesterday his team would be happy if Gambhir is unable to play.

The focus will also be on Sourav Ganguly's who will play his last Test and the Indians should be careful not to get distracted by the ocassion. PTI

Australia in Australia - 2007 - 08 : India lost series 2-1

2007-08 in Australia
Australia wrapped up the first Test by 377 runs, on the fourth day, to record their ninth successive victory at the MCG, in the 100th Test match played there. India effectively lost the match on the second day when they collapsed against some tight Australian bowling, and conceded a first-innings deficit of 147. Ponting declared 498 ahead late on the third day and on the fourth evening India had been bowled out for under 200 for the second time in the match. Australia won a most thrilling Test at Sydney with nine minutes to go on the final day, with Clarke's left-arm spin the unlikely victor. But this, their record-equaling Test win, was overshadowed by the row that erupted over the allegation that Harbhajan had racially abused Andrew Symonds. Match referee Mike Procter's decision to ban Harbhajan for three Tests incensed India, and the tour was almost abandoned. That didn't happen, but the BCCI succeeded in getting the ICC to remove umpire Steve Bucknor from the Perth Test after he had a shocking match. With much of the Australian public also scathing of their national team's behaviour, India turned the tables on the hosts to hand them their first Test defeat at the WACA since 1996-97, and their first on home soil since India won in Adelaide in December 2003. There was no record 17th consecutive win, and Kumble became only the third bowler to take 600 Test wickets. Kumble described the memorable win, which came at what had historically been Australia's stronghold, as one of the very best of his Test career. The series was intriguingly posed at Adelaide, and India amassed 526 in their first innings, but Australia replied with champion application. India suddenly found themselves needing to save the match on day five, and in the end Sehwag's attacking century denied Gilchrist victory in what was his 96th and last Test. After beating Mark Boucher's Test record for wicketkeeping dismissals - 413 - Gilchrist announced on the third evening that he would retire at the end of the season.

India vs Australia : Commonwealth Bank Series - 4th Match

Its fourth match of the Commonwealth Bank Series played between India, Australia and Sri Lanka. Previous twos match of India were abandoned due to rain and this match is important for India to win. So far Indian cricket team has stated of well and have grabbed 7 wickets of Australia for the score of 150. Ishant Sharma picked three quick wickets. Now 10 wickets are remaining and India would be happy to restrict Australia anything between 200 and 220. Though that too will be a competitive score for inexperienced indian batting line.

yet another exciting twenty twenty match also known as T20 or 20-20 Match will be played between India and Australia on Friday 1 Feb 2008. Fourth test Match India Vs Australia Adelaide Live

Fourth test match of border gavaskar series will be played between India and Australia at Adelaide. Well this test match have certain significance also. It will be last time that 5 class crikecters of golden generation of Indian Cricket team will be playin here.

First one is Anil Kumble : Apart from achieving 600 test wickets, Anil Kumble also goin to achieve one more milestone thats against Australia in test crikcet. Kumble has had a roller-coaster ride through his three tours here. He was rendered ineffective in 1999 before reviving his career last time around, snapping up 24 wickets in three Tests. He's been a big threat here too and needs just two more victims to snap up 50 wickets in Australia. Among Indians, only Kapil Dev (51) has managed more. I am dammn sure Kumble will break Kapil Devs record there. 3 wickets are not an issue for him.

Other four in the list would be Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman. These four will also be on the lat tour of Australia I think. So I am looking forward for some real class performance from them. SO long they have given some nice preformance of the class they are known for.

Specially mentioning Sachin Tendulkar : Sachin has scored just 122 runs in six Test innings at the Adelaide Oval. He must finish off here in style. all the very best sachin. one important thing to note here that Back in 1992, Ponting insisted he stay back in the academy rather than go home, simply to watch Sachin Tendulkar practise. Now he's up against him, in the same arena

List of probalbes 11 for indian and australian cricket teams:

Australia (likely) 1 Matthew Hayden, 2 Phil Jaques, 2 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Andrew Symonds, 7 Adam Gilchrist (wk), 8 Brad Hogg, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Mitchell Johnson, 11 Stuart Clark.

India (likely) 1 Virender Sehwag, 2 Rahul Dravid, 3 VVS Laxman, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 Sourav Ganguly, 6 Irfan Pathan, 7 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), 8 Anil Kumble (capt), 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 RP Singh, 11 Ishant Sharma.

India vs Australia third test : india beat australia

WOW what a test match it was India beat Australia on day four of third text match of the four test match series. Not only India came back in the series with 2-1 but also stopped Australia in Australia from 17 consecutive victory in teat matches. India previously also stopped Australia from making the record of 17 consecutive test wins that time also it was a great victory India defeated Australia after being given follow on by Australia.

Please note down here that no team had won in Perth since 1985-86. You can view summary of hisotri kolkata test here India Vs Australia Kolakata. In fact India is the only team to give Australia competition in test cricket. Accordin to stats : Since India's disastrous tour in 1991-92, the teams have met 21 times in Test cricket; the numbers now stand at 10-8 in Australia's favour. In the corresponding period Australia's record stands at 27-9 against England, 12-2 against Pakistan, 15-4 against South Africa and 9-1 against Sri Lanka. And India were the last team to humble Australia in a home Test.

Below are the pictures of the test match, Some good pic and wallpapers for you from http://icccricket.blogspot.com
