Bangladesh loss early wickets chasing 415

India declared the inning on 413 for 8 hs has set Bangladesh taget of 415 runs to win. India must have thought to get some early blows in the 20 overs that they can bowl. And first wicket of Bangladesh just fell in the third over at the score of eight. Now this had made things difficult for Bangladesh. Bangladesh sid that a draw must be satisfactory for them but here there chances for batting one full day are looking very dim.

Good luck to the Bangladsh team

BCCI calls if Indian Cricket team tour of India

Because of recent terror attacks in Mumbai, the Indian Government has called of for any kind of sports event with Pakistan and respecting the Governments decision BCCI has called of the tour.

Meanwhile viewers can enjoy the second test match between India and England to be played and Punjab Cricket Stadium Mohali, near Chandigarh. I am expecting the match to be draw.

India to face australia without Gautam Gambhir

Nagpur, Nov 5 (PTI) India will miss the services of in-form Gautam Gambhir as they go into the fourth and final cricket Test against Australia here tomorrow, seeking to wrest the Border-Gavaskar Trophy despite a weakened batting line up and a brand new opening combination.

Gambhir's absence means that India will have a new opening partner for Virender Sehwag for the crucial match with 24-year-old Tamil Nadu opener M Vijay set to make his Test debut.

In a highly controversial decision, the ICC Appeals Commissioner Justice Albie Sachs yesterday upheld a one-Test ban on Gambhir without even hearing him which the BCCI refused to accept, saying it violated principles of natural justice.

Gambhir has been the nightmare for the Australian bowlers in the series so far having scored 463 runs, inclusive of a double hundred and a century, for an average in excess of 77.

And Justice Sachs' decision has dealt a huge blow to India's hopes of either winning or drawing the crucial Test on a virgin pitch at the newly constructed Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium at Jamtha.

The Delhi batsman's form in the series has rattled the Australians so much so that their leading scorer in the series, Mike Hussey, said yesterday his team would be happy if Gambhir is unable to play.

The focus will also be on Sourav Ganguly's who will play his last Test and the Indians should be careful not to get distracted by the ocassion. PTI

India vs Sri lanka first test match

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (Reuters) - Opener Malinda Warnapura scored 50 not out as Sri Lanka reached 85-2 at stumps after Wednesday's rain-interrupted first day of the first test against India.

India's new ball bowlers Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan claimed a wicket apiece during a single 22-over evening session after rain and a wet outfield delayed the start of play until 1530 local time (1000 GMT).

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene was unbeaten on 16 when bad light stopped play for the day having added 28 runs for the third wicket with Warnapura.

Warnapura started shakily but scored quickly after playing himself in, hitting six boundaries in his 74-ball innings.

Sharma struck first for India with a lively delivery that bounced steeply and Michael Vandort (three) edged to wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik.

Kumar Sangakkara (12), the world's number one batsman coming into this test series, edged a swinging delivery from left-armer Zaheer Khan to Rahul Dravid at slip.

Both teams went into the game with two spinners including unorthodox Sri Lanka debutant Ajantha Mendis who destroyed India with a haul of six wickets for 13 in the final of the Asia Cup one-day competition earlier this month.

Fourth test Match India Vs Australia Adelaide Live

Fourth test match of border gavaskar series will be played between India and Australia at Adelaide. Well this test match have certain significance also. It will be last time that 5 class crikecters of golden generation of Indian Cricket team will be playin here.

First one is Anil Kumble : Apart from achieving 600 test wickets, Anil Kumble also goin to achieve one more milestone thats against Australia in test crikcet. Kumble has had a roller-coaster ride through his three tours here. He was rendered ineffective in 1999 before reviving his career last time around, snapping up 24 wickets in three Tests. He's been a big threat here too and needs just two more victims to snap up 50 wickets in Australia. Among Indians, only Kapil Dev (51) has managed more. I am dammn sure Kumble will break Kapil Devs record there. 3 wickets are not an issue for him.

Other four in the list would be Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman. These four will also be on the lat tour of Australia I think. So I am looking forward for some real class performance from them. SO long they have given some nice preformance of the class they are known for.

Specially mentioning Sachin Tendulkar : Sachin has scored just 122 runs in six Test innings at the Adelaide Oval. He must finish off here in style. all the very best sachin. one important thing to note here that Back in 1992, Ponting insisted he stay back in the academy rather than go home, simply to watch Sachin Tendulkar practise. Now he's up against him, in the same arena

List of probalbes 11 for indian and australian cricket teams:

Australia (likely) 1 Matthew Hayden, 2 Phil Jaques, 2 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Andrew Symonds, 7 Adam Gilchrist (wk), 8 Brad Hogg, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Mitchell Johnson, 11 Stuart Clark.

India (likely) 1 Virender Sehwag, 2 Rahul Dravid, 3 VVS Laxman, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 Sourav Ganguly, 6 Irfan Pathan, 7 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), 8 Anil Kumble (capt), 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 RP Singh, 11 Ishant Sharma.

India vs Australia third test : india beat australia

WOW what a test match it was India beat Australia on day four of third text match of the four test match series. Not only India came back in the series with 2-1 but also stopped Australia in Australia from 17 consecutive victory in teat matches. India previously also stopped Australia from making the record of 17 consecutive test wins that time also it was a great victory India defeated Australia after being given follow on by Australia.

Please note down here that no team had won in Perth since 1985-86. You can view summary of hisotri kolkata test here India Vs Australia Kolakata. In fact India is the only team to give Australia competition in test cricket. Accordin to stats : Since India's disastrous tour in 1991-92, the teams have met 21 times in Test cricket; the numbers now stand at 10-8 in Australia's favour. In the corresponding period Australia's record stands at 27-9 against England, 12-2 against Pakistan, 15-4 against South Africa and 9-1 against Sri Lanka. And India were the last team to humble Australia in a home Test.

Below are the pictures of the test match, Some good pic and wallpapers for you from http://icccricket.blogspot.com

india tour of australia test 1 day 1

Its dat one of first test match between India and Australia. At 135 for no loss Australia were really on top and India were in for a long first innings. But Anil Kumble forced the breakthrough, Zaheer Khan produced a peach to get rid of Ricky Ponting early and then the tide turned.

In all this don't forget the belligerent 124 from Hayden, but it was Kumble who stole the day with a five-wicket haul on the first day of this Test. Australia is 337/9 iin 90 overs and the end of first day play.

India vs Pakistan second test day two three four five

Its day two of second test played between India and Pakistan. India delcated at 616/5 with some very good batting pefrormances double century from Wasim Jafer, centuries from VVS Laxman and Saurav Ganguly and hafl century each from Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendar Singh Dhoni.

Most intresting thig for me here is that VVS Laxman also known as ver very specil lLaxman is still not out in the series.. I wonder hy this such a class player have been in and out of Idnian team with such high class peformance undr his cap. Who can forget his innings of 281 agains Australia in which India won the match after being forced to follow on

Now comming to currtn test. Kumble has struck for India and Pakistan in 39 for 1 so far.

Pitch is surely gonaa turn a lot in day four and five so India have pretty chances of winning this test match also. Pakistannow hoppe only for a drwa if batsmen show caliber to bat remiangin two days atleast.

India vs Pakistan test match second day first

Hi all its was all Wasim Jaffer show at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on 30 November 2007. India have won first test match from Pakistan already and inthe secong test India have score a huge score on day first. At stumps India was at 352/3 (84.3 overs) with Wasim Jaffer scoring 192 alone on day first. Hopefully he will score his double century tommorow. Saurav Ganguly is playing at 17 runs at his hoem ground, crwod must be expecting a lot from him. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar also score quick 82 runs in just 109 balls. Rahul dravid score half century. SO it was all Idnian batsmen day only Karthik was unlucky to got out at 1.

Here is the Indian scoreboard so far:

W Jaffer not out 192 255 32 0 75.29
KD Karthik c Khan bTanvir 1 3 0 0 33.33

Extras (b 4, lb 3, nb 3) 10

Total (3 wickets; 84.3 overs) 352 (4.16 runs per over)

Second test India vs Pakistan second test match

Injuries plague Pakistan team ahead of second test match: n injury-plagued Pakistan faces a daunting task of squaring the test series against India in the second test to begin at Eden Gardens on Friday.

Fast bowler Umar Gul is being sent back to Pakistan after his troublesome back flared up again, while skipper Shoaib Malik and pacemen Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami remain doubtful for the second test of the three-match series.

India leads 1-0 after winning the first test match in New Delhi by six wickets earlier this week. India is chasing its first home test series win against Pakistan for 28 years.

"Umar Gul bowled at the net yesterday, but is troubled by back spasms. The team management has decided to send him back," Malik said.

"We've spoken to the selectors and sought a replacement," he said.

Malik himself has not had any practice during the past few days, after spraining his ankle during a training session in New Delhi after the first test match.

"I went through a fitness test this morning. It did not go well, so I'll go through another test tomorrow morning and then decide if I can play or not," said Malik.

Pakistan pace bowlers Akhtar and Sami have chest infections. Both skipped practice for two days and must also pass fitness tests on Friday morning.

Akhtar was hospitalized for a day after complaining of chest pain on his arrival from New Delhi on Wednesday.

Malik said the Eden Gardens pitch appeared to be a good batting track that would assist spinners as the match proceeds.

India skipper Anil Kumble exuded confidence about his team clinching the series in Calcutta.

"We'll be looking to carry the momentum from New Delhi into the second test," Kumble said. "We're hoping to cash on this opportunity to win the series."

India vs PAkistan test match :

India won first test match by showing a all round show. Anil Kumble won man of the match award for his captaincy, grat bowling figures and crucial 28 runs score in first innings.

There were some good performance in bowling by Kumble and ganguly. Good batting by Laxman, Dhoni.

But for me aprat from India winning test match most important thing was Sachin crossing Allan borders test score and now he's Second highest run getter after West Indies Brian Lara. I have mentioend and prediceted Sachin to cross this mark inmy Last post -
top five test batsmen all time great.

Sachin Tendulkar is now only 770 runs behind Lara who is noe retired from international cricket. I expect sachin to lower his margin to under 500 by the end of the series.

Below is the comparision of Brian Lara adn Sachin Tendulkars test carer:

Player Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave 100 50 0

BC Lara 131 232 6 11953 400* 52.88 34 48 17
SR Tendulkar 141 228 24 11207 248* 54.93 37 46 13

India Vs PAkistan first test

Though India lost last one day international match @ Jaipur Still won the Series by 3-2. India have won a one day series against Pakistan at home after 24 years. In this series Sachin Tendulkar looked in his full form. Made good scores but something is happening wih him as he reaches score of 90+ this years he didn't scored a century and was out between score of 90 and 99 fro 6 times, once he was out at 89. GOSH he missed 7 centuries. If achieved he would have reached 5o centuries so far.

Anyways centuries doest matter fro me what matters is ths form of Sachin hope he will contribute more to Indian Cricket and will retire with a honour none has been able to achive so far. One thing Sachin gonaa miss is never won worlds cup fir the game hes playing for last 18 years may be continue 3 years more.

But I wish for now is a double century from sachin and if not at least a century from him in test series against Pakistan.

Fisrst test is played at famous Firoz shah kotla ground at Delhi where Anil Kumble took all the 10 wickets of Pakistan team in an inning.

My best wishes for team India for winning the tst series. Let wait for live action on 23

Intresting centuries in test cricket : ICCcricket,.blogspot.com

Imagine the days play is about to end and you are approaching your century, double century, triple century or even 400 as Brian Lara scores against England. What if you are at the score of 99 or 199 or 299 and you are facing the last ball of the day, but wud be in your mind reach your century by hitting tha last ball of the day or keep your calm and face the century feat next mo
rning and end the days play at threshold of the century.

Below is the list of batsmen who ended the the day on such a threshold:

Glenn Turner v Australia, Christchurch, 1974
New Zealand backed up disciplined bowling with outstanding fielding and dismissed Australia for 223 in the first innings. How they fared with the bat largely depended on Turner, who wasn't at his most fluent just then. He played and missed regularly against Max Walker and Geoff Dymock but hung around to end the second day on 99. He struggled to reach his fourth Test hundred the next morning and played out 34 deliveries in all on 99, which contributed to his overall strike-rate of 38. Turner was out soon after his century but his 101 had given New Zealand a 32-run lead. Australia set a target of 228 and it was due to another gritty Turner hundred in the second innings - 110 not out off 355 balls - that New Zealand notched up their first Test win against Australia, by five wickets.

Greg Chappell v England, Melbourne, 1980
Graham Gooch was approaching a hundred with the tea interval looming. In the final over before the break he was run out, attempting a single that would have taken him into tea on a hundred. England proceeded to collapse from 170 for 1 to 306 all out, their highest total of the series. Australia made a strong reply and were 399 for 5 at stumps on the third day. Greg Chappell ended the day on 99 not out, which made him the first, and only, person in Tests to wait through the whole of a rest day for his century. He reached his hundred off the third ball of the fourth day and finished with 114 in 288 minutes during which he struggled with a stomach upset and a leg injury. Ian Botham's rearguard century in the second innings helped set a target of 103 but it was never going to challenge Australia. The Chappell brothers were in the middle when the winning runs were scored, with Greg making 40 off 43 balls.

Gerry Gomez v India, Delhi, 1948

West Indies were in early trouble after deciding to bat. They had lost three wickets for 27 runs before Clyde Walcott and Gomez began the recovery. Walcott powered to his hundred and ended the day on 152, while Gomez remained unbeaten on 99. He reached his hundred the next day but didn't convert it into a big one: he was stumped minutes after Walcott was run out. The pair, however, had added 267, a West Indies record for any wicket. Gomez's century was his maiden Test hundred, and since then only Turner (in a different Test to the one above) and Graeme Hick have been not out overnight on 99 during their first Test centuries. The pitch had become easier to bat on and Everton Weekes and Robert Christiani scored tons as well. West Indies piled up 631 in the first innings but two days was not enough time for them to bowl India out twice. The match was drawn with India 220 for 6 in the follow on.

Javed Miandad v England, Edgbaston, 1992
Miandad was in the nineties at the end of the day on a record six occasions and he went on to score a century five times, including two double-hundreds. Only once did he end the day on 99 - at Edgbaston in 1992. The first day had been washed out and England managed to bowl only two balls after choosing to field in damp conditions on the second before the light was offered to the batsmen. Pakistan made a solid start on the third day but the run glut began when Miandad and Salim Malik got together. They added 322 for the fourth wicket and Miandad extended his overnight 99 to 153 on the fourth day before declaring on 446 for 4. England's batsmen also cashed in, and once the follow-on was avoided a draw was the only possible conclusion.

Rahul Dravid v Australia, Adelaide, 2003
The game seemed up for India after Australia had scored 556 by the second afternoon and even more so after India were reduced to 85 for 4 in reply. Then Dravid and VVS Laxman began to consolidate, and once they had settled in, raked in the runs. They became only the third pair in Test cricket - after Don Bradman and Bill Ponsford, and Graeme Smith and Herschelle Gibbs - to share two triple-century stands. In Kolkata in 2001, Laxman had scored the double and it was Dravid's turn in Adelaide. He ended the third day on 199 - only the second batsman to do so after Marvan Atapattu - and hit a boundary off the first ball of the fourth to reach his double-hundred. Dravid's 233 helped keep Australia's lead down to 33, and a remarkable bowling performance by Ajit Agarkar set up a four-wicket win for India.
