Future tours of indian cricket team

After winning one day series in Sri Lanka and tomorrows T20 match, Indian cricket team has two competitive cricket series to play. First is the India tour of NewZealand in February, March & April 2009 and in June- July Indian cricket team will tour Carribean Islands to one one day series against West Indies.

Aisa Cup June 2008 - Pakistan team announced - Kamran akmal out of the team

Pakistani selectors announced the Pakistan's cricket team for Asia cup toournamnet starting next week and surprisingly they have dropped experienced wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal for the Asia Cup tournament.

Akmal was omitted from a list of 20 players picked to attend a short training camp, from which a 15-member squad will be named for the June 24-July 6 Asia cup tournament in Pakistan.

India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong are the other countries taking part.

"Kamran remains our number one keeper but we also wanted to give chances to others and we felt Kamran also deserved to take a well deserved rest," chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed told reporters.

Akmal who has played in 38 tests and 88 one-dayers, has been told to get over a extended period of inconsistent form behind the stumps.

The final squad is due to be named on June 22.

The selectors had no other surprises for the tournament although pacer Mohammad Asif will not take part as he remains in detention in Dubai on suspicion of carrying illegal drugs.

ICC Cricket awards : Cricinfo Cricketer of the year 2007

Cricinfo announced ICC cricketer awards for the year 2007. Three Indian Cricketers one from Austrialia and two Sri Lankan crickters were among the awardees for Cricinfo ICC cricketer of the year award.

India tour of australia : Umpire bucknor removed tour will continue

The crisis surrounding the Indian tour of Australia seems to have blown over, if temporarily, with the Indian board, whose top brass met in New Delhi on Tuesday night, saying the tour would continue "for the present". In Sydney, the Indian team prepared to travel to Canberra.

With the issue of umpire Steve Bucknor resolved earlier in the day, the crucial decision before the board's working committee was to frame a response to the three-Test ban on Harbhajan Singh. It had come under severe pressure from the players to take a strong stand on the issue and there were fears it would make the tour conditional to a clean chit for Harbhajan but its eventual public statement allowed wriggle room for all sides.

though Indian team ended in loosing test against Australia in 2007. overall 2007 was not so very good for team India. Just few good memories are 20 - 20 world cup victory. It was really a great performance by Indian cricket team to win twenty twenty cricket world cup. New format of cricket which made fans crazy. Indian team was given a warm welcome. Rest as average performance, exit from world cup in first round. Few seres loss but iin the end it was good year. wining one day and test match series against pakistan.

India Vs Pakistan Third test Match Bangalore

Hi all,

Third test match between India and Pakistan is to begin tomorrow at Bangalore. There has bees changes in both the team due to injuries. For India there will change in fast bowling attack with Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma and VRV Singh has been called in for third test.Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and RP Singh, all three fast bowlers have been ruled out through injury.

For Pakistan team captian Shoaib Malik is injured and will not play third test, in his absence Younis Kahn is thought to lead the Pakistan team for third test.
