Champions Trophy : Tournament schedule - BCCI backs pakistan
Though South African cricket team opted out of the Champions trophy scheduled to be held in Pakistan because of the security concerns, Indian cricket board BCCI conveyed full support to the cricketing rivals Pakistan. BCCI is in the favor of Champions trophy to be held in the neighboring Pakistan. BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah while supporting Pakistan urged other cricket boards to trust the security assurances given by the PCB and the government. "We are supporting Pakistan. I think everything depends on Pakistan and on what are the concerns about security. If they say everything is OK and the tournament can be held as per the schedule then we are with them," Shah told Geo News.

For impressive game show in IPL the fast bowler Manpreet Gony has been selected for the tri-series in Bangladesh replacing S. Sreesanth.
Gony also played well in in domestic competition. He finished with 17 wickets from 16 matches at 26.05, which made him the leading wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings and fourth highest overall in the IPL.
He was picked by the Super Kings after finishing as the leading wicket taker in the Deodhar Trophy, taking nine from three matches at 14.66. Gony made his first-class debut in December last year against Baroda.
Sreesanth, who was assessed in National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore Friday, will take two weeks to recover from the injury and will undergo rehabilitation at NCA. He is expected to be fit in time for the Asia Cup in Pakistan.

India have won first test match from Pakistan already and inthe secong test India have score a huge score on day first. Injuries plague Pakistan team ahead of second test match: n injury-plagued Pakistan faces a daunting task of squaring the test series against India in the second test to begin at Eden Gardens on Friday.
Fast bowler Umar Gul is being sent back to Pakistan after his troublesome back flared up again, while skipper Shoaib Malik and pacemen Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami remain doubtful for the second test of the three-match series.
India leads 1-0 after winning the first test match in New Delhi by six wickets earlier this week. India is chasing its first home test series win against Pakistan for 28 years.
"Umar Gul bowled at the net yesterday, but is troubled by back spasms. The team management has decided to send him back," Malik said.
"We've spoken to the selectors and sought a replacement," he said.

"I went through a fitness test this morning. It did not go well, so I'll go through another test tomorrow morning and then decide if I can play or not," said Malik.

Akhtar was hospitalized for a day after complaining of chest pain on his arrival from New Delhi on Wednesday.
Malik said the Eden Gardens pitch appeared to be a good batting track that would assist spinners as the match proceeds.
India skipper Anil Kumble exuded confidence about his team clinching the series in Calcutta.
"We'll be looking to carry the momentum from New Delhi into the second test," Kumble said. "We're hoping to cash on this opportunity to win the series."

In this series Sachin Tendulkar looked in his full form. Shoaib Akhtar back in Pakistan Cricket team touring India
Good News for Shohaib Akhtar and his fans, Shoaib Akhtar has been named in the Pakistan's 16-man squad for the five-match ODI series against India. Shohaib has been out of Pakistan Cricekt team after having quarrel with team Captain Mohammad Asif . PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) imposed a 13 match ban on him. Pakistan Cricket team also includes Fawad Alam, who played his first and only ODI so far against Sri Lanka earlier this year.

India and Pakistan played out perhaps their most thrilling contest in a world competition Twenty 20 world cup match ended with a bow out. It reminded me of India vs Pakistan match 21 years ago at Sarjaha where Javed Miandad hit last ball six to beat India. Similiar Exciting win ovre pakistan was brought by Indian bowlers who held there nerves in the BOWL OUT as croes of nboth teams were equal at the end of 20 20 overs. From Indian side Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa hit the stumps where as Pakistan teams Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi all missed the stumps.
Earlier Robin Uthappa recovered India from 36 for 4 to end 141 for 9 with with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Irfan Pathan buttressing Uthappa's brilliant effort. The 33-year-old Misbah, who made a magnificent 53 from just 35 balls, had been an unlikely hero for Pakistan after Shahid Afridi's dismissal, with 39 needed from 15 balls, had left them in a seemingly hopeless situation.
