48 Tons and still going - Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar
Don't know when and where he will stop. Its hard to predict number of centuries, runs he will score before stopping. Today he stood against the Sri Lankan attack and I hope his test century number 48 will help India save the match. India now needs only 61 runs to avoid follow on.
It was also nce to see debutant Suresh Raina hitting half century and he is still on the crease with Sachin.
Below are this pics from the second test match between India and Sri Lanka:
I Hope one day I'll have 100 posts about Sachin Tendulkar at this blog :)

Murali test carrer ends with 800 wickets
Tension in finally over as Pragyan Ojha became wicket number 800 for Muralitharan. Murali thus will see his exit as a champion from the test matches, though he had expressed his desire to play one day cricket in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011...
SL now need 95 runs to win, hoping for a winning farewell to Murali.

Day 5 Test 1 India vs Sri Lanka
Hi All,
In my last post Can India save first test match - India vs Sri Lanka I depicted India will hardly be able to save the test and things going as predicted. MS Dhoni hot out quickly, so did Harbhajan Singh, however VVS Laxman is still fighting the battle with some good support by Mithun and now by Ishant Sharma. By some good partner ships among these three India have avoided an innings defeat, this means Sri Lanka will have to bat again now, In case they are able to pick two wickets quickly.
My prediction was that if India batting can last for three session, so far they have survived till lunch with 70 runs lead. In case this pair and Ojha who is still to come can survive anothe 80 runs India can definitely save this test Match. One good thing I am looking is that Sangakara wants Muralitharan to complete 800 wickets so he is made to bowl longer spells and other bowlers didn't want to pick a wicket.

Can India save first test match - India vs Sri Lanka
Can India save first test match or will it be a winning farewell to the legendary spinner Muralitharan. I am not sure if India can save the test match or not but one thing is for guaranteed that Muthiah Muralitharan will retire from text cricket with 800+ wickets in his stats. Murali thinks only Harbhjan Sing can get closer to his records but he is not as consistent as the Sri Lankan offie, and none other bowler seems to be close to him, thus his record will stay longer.
Now comming to the match India is 63 suns behind the Sri Lankan score with only batting pair of Laxman and Dhoni left. Even if they get close to a 100 runs partnership then also its nothing for Sri Lanka to chase. Now only rain can draw the match for India or a rare partner ship or a long innings that last for atleast 3 sessions.
Stay tuned and watch the live score at http://icccricket.blogspot.com
Also you can catch a glimpse of Muralithan at your blog in the past:

India Sri Lanka Test Series - Day 3
Well today it didn't rained and play started. Last days rains and stormed made favorable conditions for Indian seamers and they looked dangerous. But despite the early blog Sri Lakan score has gone past 400 runs and this can be alarming for team India. Currenty Sri Lanka is batting at Sri Lanka 419/7 (104.0 ov) . With another 50+ overs possible today it will a test of stron Indian batting line if they can save the match and India can only play for draw this time.
None of the Indian spinner got any wicket in this inning so far, perhaps it will be Murali to take wickets in his last match.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 - Revised format for the world cup
The 2011 worl cup will have a new format, unlike the previous format that saw exit of asian teams India and Pakistan out of the tournament and caused low earnings. This time format is designed so that the major teams will stay longer and don't have an unlikely exit of main teams.
Total 14 teams will be participating which includes 10 test playing nations and Kenya (ODI status) and three qualified teams (Canada, Netherlands and Ireland). All fourteen teams are divided in two groups of 7 teams each:
Group A: Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya
Group B: India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands
I hardly saw the major teams exiting from the group stage as top four team from both groups will qualify for the quarter finals. The winners of the quarterfinals would face off in the semi-finals, with the winners meeting in the grand final.

India vs Sri Lanka - 1st Test, Galle Day one
The test that will saw the end of the carreer of legendary bowler who single handedly lead the Sri Lankan bowling attack has begun. In the morning Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Given the inexperienced Indian bowling attack Sri Lanka started well against the number one test team in the world.
Both the batsmen Paranavitana and Sangakara are on the verge to reach the centuries. Current score is Sri Lanka 188/1 (47.6 ov) now it would be interesting how Indian bowlers perform post tea session.

India Sri Lanka Test Series - India without main pace attack
India Sri Lanka Test Series - India without main pace attack - Ruling out of main bowler Zaheer Khan alongith Sreeshanth due to injuries is the main concern of recently wed Indian cricket team Captain M S Dhoni. Adding to his worries is the news that main spinner Harbhajan Singh is suffering from fever and will miss the practice match. Hoever he is expected to be fit by the first test match. The firt match of the series will also be interesting as its the last match of the ace spinner from Sri Lanka Muttiah Muralitharan who have took 792 test wickets so far and it'd be exciting to see if he can make it to the 800 mark. Wish you all the best Murali.
