Aisa Cup June 2008 - Pakistan team announced - Kamran akmal out of the team
Pakistani selectors announced the Pakistan's cricket team for Asia cup toournamnet starting next week and surprisingly they have dropped experienced wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal for the Asia Cup tournament.
Akmal was omitted from a list of 20 players picked to attend a short training camp, from which a 15-member squad will be named for the June 24-July 6 Asia cup tournament in Pakistan.
India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong are the other countries taking part.
"Kamran remains our number one keeper but we also wanted to give chances to others and we felt Kamran also deserved to take a well deserved rest," chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed told reporters.
Akmal who has played in 38 tests and 88 one-dayers, has been told to get over a extended period of inconsistent form behind the stumps.
The final squad is due to be named on June 22.
The selectors had no other surprises for the tournament although pacer Mohammad Asif will not take part as he remains in detention in Dubai on suspicion of carrying illegal drugs.
Pakistan squad:
Shoaib Malik (Capt), Salman Butt, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Misbah-ul-Haq, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shahid Afridi, Fawad Alam, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul, Rao Iftikhar, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Asad Rauf, Yasir Hameed, Bazid Khan, Mansoor Amjad, Naumanullah, Saeed Ajmal.

Sachin the Great - From Amir Khan's blog : Genuis says abt Genius
Just read the Aamir Khans blog post about IPL twenty twenty match & hat he has to say about Little master Sachin Tendulkar. Both Aamir and Sachin are masters of there field, in cricket Sachin has rules the world and in Bollywood Aamir is known as Mr Perfectionist. And I am great fan of both, While I had hardly missed any movie of Aamir Khan and regarding Sachin you can see every secon or third post in this ICC CRICKET blog includes his name.
Now here comes the post of Aamir Khan about sachin:
Last night I watched the IPL final and what an exciting match it was. I don't think we could have asked for a better finale to a most entertaining tournament. Rajasthan after beginning as the least likely to win at the start of the tournament went on to win the cup. My congratulations to the Rajasthan team and supporters. Chennai, hard luck but very well fought. Mumbai Indians is the team I'm supporting for obvious reasons, and I was disappointed that we weren't in the finals, but next time. In fact I think all teams gave it their best but there can only be one winner, and jo jeeta wohi sikander. My guess is that in a very short time we should have the best side on an international level, what with all the young talent being thrown up.
The match last night was certainly exciting but what made it a unique experience for me was that I had Sachin next to me. You will find this hard to believe but Sachin was able to predict every ball before it was bowled. "He is going to bowl a bouncer next",
"This one is going to be a slower one", "Full tilt outside the off stump", "Next one will be a yorker", "Short of length". It was uncanny. HE GOT IT RIGHT EACH TIME!!! No wonder its so difficult to bowl to him. He has an amazing instinct. And he told me his logic for each prediction which I wont share with you as I don't want to reveal how his mind works. But all of us were dumbfounded with his instinct and his acumen. So at the end of it I told him next time we watch a film together I'm going to tell him whats going to happen next!
Not to forget pics and wallpaper of both the stars:
Soory I wishes to post some nice pics and allpapers of both sachin and Aamir and I just dream I could get one photo of both together, byt here there a lil prb with my internet so I have to close this post without posting there images. hopefully ill post them tomorrow as its goin to be weekend so no prb with late night sleeping
Bye bye catch you tomorrow

Bangladesh Tri Series : India - Pakistan - Bangladesh | Goni relace Shreesanth
For impressive game show in IPL the fast bowler Manpreet Gony has been selected for the tri-series in Bangladesh replacing S. Sreesanth.
Gony also played well in in domestic competition. He finished with 17 wickets from 16 matches at 26.05, which made him the leading wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings and fourth highest overall in the IPL.
He was picked by the Super Kings after finishing as the leading wicket taker in the Deodhar Trophy, taking nine from three matches at 14.66. Gony made his first-class debut in December last year against Baroda.
Sreesanth, who was assessed in National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore Friday, will take two weeks to recover from the injury and will undergo rehabilitation at NCA. He is expected to be fit in time for the Asia Cup in Pakistan.
Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan have already been ruled out of the tri-series owing to groin and ankle injuries.
