21-April-2015: Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals at Ahemdabad Today. Might be a change in ground could bring a change in fortune for Kings XI team.  A win a what Punjab team needs badly at this moment. However they are facing a team today, which is still undefeated in IPL 2015.  Rajasthan Royals are just playing very good T20 cricket at the moment and they have got all the thing at right place. Punjab on the other hand despite being  filled with talented and big name players and still to get the combination right.They are experimenting too much and I guess they should just keep the things simple and play batsmen in a role that suits them better.

20-April-2015: Today KKR will play against Delhi Daredevils. The DD team has got the momentum they have been missing so  far in IPL. They are now at 4 position in points table and a win today will ensure they will replace KKR team who is at number 3 positions. And if they win the match today with a better run rate the Delhi team might also replace CSK who is at number 2 in points table.

Today match is between the tournaments favorites Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils. The Punjab team has a very good performance last year and prior to that the Punjab team performance in IPL was almost similar to the opponents today. The Delhi Daredevils team has not got a good season in the history of IPL. This year the team has invested heavily and purchased Yuvraj Singh at a huge amount. IPL Matches today

Today only one match is scheduled to be played. The match will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore and the competing teams are Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Match will start at 8 pm. So far both the teams have played a single match in IPL. RCB won their opening match against KKR whereas Sunrisers lost their opening match to Chennai Super Kings. Given the form and team combinations RCB is expected to win this match easily.

Glimpses of our posts in IPL 7

Yesterday Kings XI Punjab showed a great performance and posted 195 runs as target for Rajasthan Royals team. In the end Rajasthan Royal team managed to score 147 runs only and loosing the game by 48 runs. At one time it was looking that Kings Eleven Punjab will post a total of more than 200 or 225+ but last 5 overs they managed to score some 30 odd runs only, still the target was out of reach for the Rajasthan Royals team lead by Shane Warne.

Today we have 2 matches to be played in IPL. First match will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kolkata and the second one will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai.


Kolkata Kinght Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: This is the first time in IPL history that Kolkata team is looking strong in papers and the fields both, otherwise right from the beginning of the IPL Kolkata team has looked stronger in the papers but ended in the bottom of the points table. This is the first time that team looks to be doing good in points table as well. As far as the todays match is concerned its Royal Challengers team which would be more under pressure to win the match they are already in the bottom 2 of the points table and they need a couple of wins badly to make a comeback in the tournament. Kolkata on the other hand are at the top of points table but they lost the last match to Kochi Tuskers, thus they need to win this match so as to remain in the top of the points table.

Mumbai Indians Vs Chennai Super Kings: Mumbai Indians lost to Chennai Super Kings in the finals of the last year IPL and this time Mumbai must be looking forward to beat Chennai, this win can make Mumbai Indian secure the top position in points table, where as Chennai if wins can make into the top 4.

Sunrisers and Kings XI seek golden opportunity

Only one match is scheduled to be played in IPL today. Match would be played between Kings XI Punjab and the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad. For both teams its a golden opportunity to make the chances of qualifying to the play offs little easier. Sunriser team is currently placed at number 3 in IPL points table and a victory today will push them to number 1 position. Sunrisers need to win this match for sure as today they would have played seven IPL matches. They must win and keep life easy.

Kings Eleven on the other hand have played 4, won 2 and are placed in bottom 4. A win here would not only push the team higher in points table but also they can play remaining matches with less pressure.

While Kings XI has the firepower in batting and bowling both the Hyderabad team is the one who is capable of defending lower totals. They have the balance in the spin and fast attack with Amit Mishra, Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma. In any day these bowlers can win the match for the Hyderabad team.

Punjab team on the other hand is known to defeat opponents at their home ground. They have done that many times and this time can be no different at Deccan as well.

Mumbai & RCB play important matches today to keep in the top of points table

Mumbai & RCB play important matches today to keep in the top of points table. Firs Mumbai Indian will play against the Pune Warriors team who might be full charged after the victory in last match that came after more than 10 consecutive defeats. Match will be played at Mumbai but it won't make much difference and there is nothing like home advantage. Mumbai was about to get defeated by Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings unless the magnificent catch by Pollard turned the things in the favor of Mumbai. Mumbai might be looking as a strong team but most of the Mumbai Indians matches end up as very close T20 encounters thus we might expect a very competitive and entertaining IPL T20 match today.

If Pune team wins the match today they will move in the top 5 teams in the points table which means they can fancy the chances of qualifying for the playoffs. On the other hand Mumbai might be looking to win the match and stay in the top 3 teams so that they can easily go for the playoffs without taking much pressure in the last games of the team.

Second match in the IPL today will begin at 8 pm and will be played at Chennai between the hosts Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. IPL Match Today - Bangalore v Mumbai Live Score Board

Match between KKR and Daredevils was not as exciting but its just one match and IPL has lot more to offer. Yesterday KKR won the match at home ground. There were good batting performances from both the team captains.

Today in IPL one match will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. Both the team are full of cricket stars and also both teams have been performing well in the IPL. As I've written in previous post, this year it'd be virtually impossible to find IPL team that are without any injured players. Same is the case for the Mumbai Indians team, they will be playing today without the lethal bowler Lasith Malinga. As per team management Malinga is expected to miss the opening match due to injury and he'd be fit to play for the remaining IPL matches.  Interestingly team is being lead by one of the most successful captains Ricky Ponting from Australia, who knows how to lead a team to victory.

The RCB team on other hand is a team  that would be lead by a new captain who is being looked upon as future captain of team India. Yes you are right, Virat Kohli will lead the team this IPL and I am little doubtful about Kohli's captainship. Lets wait how he'll lead the team today.

Like Mumbai RCB to will miss the experienced Zaheer Khan from the opening match due to injury.

Highlight of the match today: Harbhajan Singh and Ponting playing together after the Syndey incident. It'd be nice to see Ponting and Sachin batting together if this can happen today.

Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Today

At home ground Kolkata failed to chase a low score of 132 against Kings XI Punjab team. Today they face the same team but at different location. Today's match IPL match between Punjab and Kolkata will be played at PCS stadium, Mohali.

Both the teams have 4 points so far in the IPL, thus a win is much needed so that the team can get the hopes of qualifying to the next round easily without having the extra pressure in the last matches of the IPL. Kings XI however will be more beneficial from a match win here as they have played one match (4) less as compared to Knight Riders (5).

Another interesting IPL T20 match will be played tomorrow between Delhi Daredevils and Deccan Chargers. A win in the tomorrows match will be a strong indication that Delhi is going to play the Final of IPL T20 season 2012. And a loss for Deccan chargers means they might be out of the IPL contest and can only play for the pride and cause trouble to other teams for qualification to next round.

IPL updates: Matches, Players, Points & Live Scores

With more than one week past the IPL opening ceremony, the mega cricketing even or T20 extravaganza is now gaining momentum. So far Mumbai has maintained to being the top of the points table but I am sure next week will show lots of shuffling in the points table.

Kings XI punjab team has won only one of the 3 games they played but I think Azhar Mahmood who had previously played for Pakistan national cricket team and now is a British citizen will be joinign the Punjab team. He is cleared VISA and allowed to play in Punjab and delhi Matches. Adam Gilchrist the captian of Kings XI Punjab team said such a talented player joining the team will be helpful. Mahmood has been highest run scorer if the England domestic T20 competition.

In the match to be played today Pune Wariors will play against Chennai Super Kings, had it be last season most of us would have considered it as a one sided game and Chennai given the upper hand. However this year Pune is a different team and have won both the games they have played so far. Hopefully this IPL will bring some fame to the captain of Pune, Saurav Ganguly who has been in the media highlight for some wrong reasons. Just tune in to watch all the live action later in the day.

Back to T20 Mode - Indian Premier League 2012

IPL T20 is all set to take the cricket crazy nation to the most popular and glamorized form of cricket called T20 or twenty twenty cricket. IPL 2011 Eliminator Match Mumbai Indians Vs Kolkata Kinght Riders

Today Mumbai Indians and Kolkta Knight Riders will play each other for the semi final match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yesterday Chennai Super Kings beat RCB in a thrilling T20 encounter and secure its place in the Finals of the IPL 4. Please note that this is the 3 time in the last 4 IPL seasons that Chennai have reached the finals of the IPL. Though they managed to win onlt one finals, still the team looks better this time and their strength lies in the batting in the death overs.

Coming to the eliminator match today, though Mumbai won the previous encounter they were rarely in the top of the game since that magical last over changes the fortunes for Mumbai. The strong looking Mumbai batting line up has rarely delivered in last couple of games.

After 70 matches and nearly 2 months the 4 more consistent team now make it to the play offs and two from which will make to the finals of the 2011 Twenty twenty IPL to be played on 28 May at Chennai.

If we take a close look at the four team Royal Challengers Bangalore don’t have a good start but once giant hitting Chris Gayle joined the team fortunes changes and they won 8 out of the last 9 games they played. Mumbai Indians team had the dream start they were at the top of points table for almost 3/4 th of the tournament but they slipped in the end loosing 3 games in a row.

On the other hand the remaining two team Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings have been consistent through the IPL 2011.

Now the qualifier match for the final will be played between the top 2 team in the points table i.e. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. Now here Royal Challengers team looks like the one who is going to be the winner not only of this game but also the finals. But on the other hand we have the magic captain Dhoni and one must not forget that Chennai Super Kings are the defending Champions and one of team who have almost same composition as that of last year.

Upset win Keeps Punjab hopes alive

I guess none would have predicted Kings Eleven Punjab winning the T20 IPL match against the team leading the points table i.e Mumbai Indians. A team filled with great batsmen, bowlers and hard hitting all rounders first let Punjab score more than 160 runs and then get all out in less than 90 runs. Now Punjab hopes are still live in the tournaments and if they win all the remaining matches they can get to play the play offs.

In another game played yesterday Pune got the second consecutive win by beating Deccan Chargers by 6 wickets. It was nice to see Ganguly batting once again but its time he should look for other roles in the cricket rather than playing.

Only one match will be played in IPL today between Rajasthan v Bangalore at Jaipur.

IPL Match Delhi Deardevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders Score Live

Well Deccan Chargers Vs Kochi Tuskers IPL Match played on 27th April 2011 was a stunner. This match will be remembers at least for the players of the Deccan team and Deccan fans for quiet a long time. Deccan Chargers set a target of 130 runs for the Kochi Tuskers and Kochi failed to chase the target getting all out for mere 74 rusn in 16.3 overs. Ishant pulled dream spell of 5 for 12 in 3 overs. Maybe this performance is the one he needed to make a comeback to the Indian cricket team.

Another interesting match will be played between Delhi and Kolkatta teams. Delhi once again needs a win badly. They are once again placed in the bottom of the points table and a defeat here means they are just left to play few other matches just to cause setbacks to the other teams ;) .

Mumbai Indian Vs Pune Warriors IPL Match Live

In yes another interesting IPL encounter, today Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bat against Mumbai Indians. For Pune warriors it is there first IPL season in which they have done well so far winning 2 out of the three matches played. Mumbai Indians on the other hand is the runner up for the last season and the team looks lethal this time also.

Bowlers of the Mumbai Indian team are bowling superbly and they have taken 9 wickets so far in 17 overs giving away 118 runs. With just one wicket remaining for Pune team I guess any target they set will be easier one for Mumbai Indians to chase.

Minutes after the original post Munaf patel got the wicket of last Pune team batsmen henve the target for Mumbai Indians team is 119 runs. A target under 6 runs an over somethins that can be chased easily in T20 format. However in cricket match is not won till the last bowl is bowled or winning run is scored.

IPL Match Live Score Updates - Deccan Chargers Vs Rajasthan Royals

The second match if the IPL 2011 will be played between Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals squad will be lead by 41 years old legendary leg spinner Shane Warne who also lead the team to victory in the first edition of the Indian Premier League T20 championship. Johan Botha, Paul Collingwood, Shaun Tait, Shane Watson, Rahul Dravid, Aakash Chopra are the other known stars in the team. But this time team doesn't looks so lethal in the batting line up as it used to be. However Rajasthan Royals had a strong bowling which is capable to winning matches for them.

Deccan team will be lead by Sri Lankan test team captain Kumar Sangakkara, he will also be keeping wickets for the team. This team looks more balanced team with some big names like Shikhar Dhawan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Manpreet Gony, Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra, Kevin Pietersen, Kevin Pietersen, Dale Steyn, Cameron White.
