Another IPL Match for Delhi to move from the bottom

Delhi has got another match today to move from the bottom of the points table. But today also Delhi Daredevils got a poor start as they have lost two batsmen in just second over of the match. Sreesanth gave the two blow in his first over of the match.

Good thing for Delhi is that captain Virendar Sehwag is still at the crease and he can change the course of the match at any point of time. Let see what target Delhi will set for the Kochi Tuskers. Kochi team also needs a win to move ahead in the point table. Place in the bottom three they are not too far from Delhi team and this match we can see swap of places for both the teams.

Other IPL match to be played today is between Kings Xi Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. A win here for any of the team will make the way for the next round easier.

Mumbai Indians restricted to 94 runs by Rajasthan Royals

Mumbai Indians, a team with strong batting line up was restricted to their lowest ever score in IPL by the Sharne Warne lead Rajasthan Royals. Previous lowest score by Mumbai Indians was 116 runs. So far in the tournament Mumbai teams top orders was scoring runs heavily and thus the middle order didn't have the real match practice leading to the disaster today.

Rajashtan needs just 95 runs and seems they will chase the score comfortable if not easily. Just to update you on yesterdays match Delhi team once again failed to chase the score and remain at the bottom of the points table.

IPL Match Delhi Deardevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders Score Live

Well Deccan Chargers Vs Kochi Tuskers IPL Match played on 27th April 2011 was a stunner. This match will be remembers at least for the players of the Deccan team and Deccan fans for quiet a long time. Deccan Chargers set a target of 130 runs for the Kochi Tuskers and Kochi failed to chase the target getting all out for mere 74 rusn in 16.3 overs. Ishant pulled dream spell of 5 for 12 in 3 overs. Maybe this performance is the one he needed to make a comeback to the Indian cricket team.

Another interesting match will be played between Delhi and Kolkatta teams. Delhi once again needs a win badly. They are once again placed in the bottom of the points table and a defeat here means they are just left to play few other matches just to cause setbacks to the other teams ;) .

Deccan Chargers Vs Kochi Tuskers IPL Match

Well what a match is is and Deccan Chargers just need one more wicket to win this match. Unlike most of the IPL or twenty twenty matches today's match between Deccan Chargers & Kochi Tuskers remained a low scoring match where bowlers were ahead of the batsmen all the way.

Only the Kumar Sangakara the captain of Deccan Chargers played an outstanding innings of 65 runs in 34 balls which inlude one and only SIX of the match today so far. Can you believe an IPL T20 match with only one six hit. This is something very rare to see in T20 matches.

Another interesting thing to notice in more than 6 ducks and onle 4 played manages to get to the double figure individual scores.

Lets wait for the last wicket of the Kochi team to fall and proceed to the post match ceremony.

Mumbai Indian Vs Pune Warriors IPL Match Live

In yes another interesting IPL encounter, today Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bat against Mumbai Indians. For Pune warriors it is there first IPL season in which they have done well so far winning 2 out of the three matches played. Mumbai Indians on the other hand is the runner up for the last season and the team looks lethal this time also.

Bowlers of the Mumbai Indian team are bowling superbly and they have taken 9 wickets so far in 17 overs giving away 118 runs. With just one wicket remaining for Pune team I guess any target they set will be easier one for Mumbai Indians to chase.

Minutes after the original post Munaf patel got the wicket of last Pune team batsmen henve the target for Mumbai Indians team is 119 runs. A target under 6 runs an over somethins that can be chased easily in T20 format. However in cricket match is not won till the last bowl is bowled or winning run is scored.

First win for Chennai - IPL T20 2011

Well Chennai win the first match of the IPL 2011 and it was anybody's match till the last ball of the match was bowled. but unlike previous IPL seasons KKR the SRK teams looks a strong team and I am sure this time the team will end up in the top one in the points table not the one in the lower numbers as in the past.

3rd match of the IPL this year will be the first match for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala team. They will play their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore which is not a strong opponent given there history in IPL. This first match will be enough to prove the worth of Kochi team in the IPL and also how they will end up in the points table of IPL 2011.

Though Kochi team has some good name like legendary spinner Muralitharan, R P Singh, Mahila Jayawardane, Ravindra Jadeja and VVS Laxman. All the best to Kochi team for the first match of the IPL and the tournament. May they left an impression here.

IPL Match Live Score Updates - Deccan Chargers Vs Rajasthan Royals

The second match if the IPL 2011 will be played between Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals squad will be lead by 41 years old legendary leg spinner Shane Warne who also lead the team to victory in the first edition of the Indian Premier League T20 championship. Johan Botha, Paul Collingwood, Shaun Tait, Shane Watson, Rahul Dravid, Aakash Chopra are the other known stars in the team. But this time team doesn't looks so lethal in the batting line up as it used to be. However Rajasthan Royals had a strong bowling which is capable to winning matches for them.

Deccan team will be lead by Sri Lankan test team captain Kumar Sangakkara, he will also be keeping wickets for the team. This team looks more balanced team with some big names like Shikhar Dhawan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Manpreet Gony, Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra, Kevin Pietersen, Kevin Pietersen, Dale Steyn, Cameron White.

IPL Opening Ceremony and First Match - IPL 2011

IPL Twenty Twenty Championship tournament is about to begin in 2 days from now and Saturday April 2011, we will see the opening ceremony and the inaugural match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkatta Knight Riders. Chennai is the team lead by captain cool M S Dhoni who may not perform like other stars in the team but he is very lucky in taking the decision. Whereas the Kolkatta Knight Riders team has aleways been full with super star cricketers right from the season 1 but still the team has performed badly in all the previous versions of the IPL.

If you look at the squad of the Kolkatta Knight Riders team this time it contains more huge names as compared with the past. Team is captained by Gautam Gambhir and includes big names like Lakshmipathy Balaji, Brad Haddin, Brad Haddin, Eoin Morgan, Eoin Morgan, Jaidev Unadkat, Ryan ten Doeschate, Yusuf Pathan and Bret Lee. India Wins ICC World Cup 2011 - ICC Cricket World Cup

Well what a tournament it have been and final was a real battle between two of the best team not in Asia but in the world. In the end Indian cricket team proved to be better side and they take the world cup 2011 with them.

276 Runs target for India - ICC World Cup Final

As said in my previous post Last 10 deciding overs of Sri Lanka Batting Sri Lankan cricket team really batted well in the last 10 overs and posed a competitive total for India to chase. At one point it seemed that India can restrict Sri Lanka ubnder 250 runs but a stunning century by Mahela Jayawardene made them score 274 runs. Indian chase will totally depend upon how the top 4 batsmen will score today specially the openers. India chase is about to begin in few minutes and I'll catch you with more updates soon . Last 10 deciding overs of Sri Lanka Batting

Sri Lankan batsmen build the innings slowly and steadily now its all left on how they will play the last 10 overs. Current score for Sri Lanka is 180 for the loss of 4 wickets in 39 overs. Keeping in mind that 5 overs of batting power play are also left for Sri Lanka, if they play without lossing more than a couple of overs they can score a competitive total. Remember what Sangakara said any thing the team will post will be a good total. 270+ scorfe will be difficult for India to chase.

World Cup Final Match Today - Sri Lanka to Bat First

Today is the ICC world cup final match between India and Sri Lanka and the latest news is that Sri Lanka has won the toss and elected to bat first. The pressure and intensity of the match can be realised from the fact that when M S Dhoni tossed the coin first the match refree, Ravi Sastri and Dhoni were unable to hear the voice of Sri Lankan Cpatain Sangakara. M. S. Dhoni has to toss the coin again and toss was won by Sri Lankan captain who immediately said they are gonna bat first. You must also not forget his statement in the toss when asked by Ravi Sastri what score he think will be good enough to which Sangakar replied, "anything we score will be sufficient enough" As far as teams are concerned India is playing Sreesanth in place of injured Nehra, whereas Sri Lankan has a different team today they are playing 6 batsmen and 5 bowlers to tackel stron Indian battign line. Mathews, Mendis, Herath and Chamara Silva are not included in the playing 11 today and Perera, Randiv, Kulasekara and Chamara Kapugedera replace them for the finals.
